I needed this for an elephant toothpaste experiment. This gets dissolved into water and makes an endothermic reaction which is another fun experiment.This worked for elephant toothpaste but it still wasn't as large of a reaction as I would have liked.

I bought this when Russia’s Putin first warned the Western world he was prepared to use nuclear weapons if he thought it necessary because of the Ukraine war. It comes in a small bottle Filled to the top with little grains of crystals that could be mistaken for sugar or salt. It looks pretty legit but I really don’t know for sure because luckily… So far… We haven’t had occasion to use it but it is here in my home in place I am familiar with and can be used within a moment’s notice. One thing I didn’t notice that you will definitely want to know about is that you must take it safely…which means the crystals must be swallowed in a gel capsule so buy a box of ready-to-fill gelatin capsules and have those ready or already filled using the capsules directions and the prescribed amount you need on a daily basis. Here’s hoping we don’t ever have to use them!Here we are at almost one year, since the war started, and things are ramping up scarily so. The US and Germany are adding more tanks to the war effort which is pissing Putin and his regime off, making them talk about nuclear options almost every day now. This may happen, guys.

Having worked 15+ years in the pharmaceutical industry, this material DOES meet the USP monograph requirements... I bought some just in case we have a nuclear "incident" since the world is going to hell, and it is much cheaper than tablets. Many of the chemicals we used in formulation were ACS grade, but tested to make sure it met the USP requirements... I have found other cheaper sources since then, but 100 grams should last me for decades.

The media could not be loaded. I made “elephant toothpaste” with my niece and nephew as a fun science project when they came to visit and they loved it! We’ll probably try it again but next time placing it inside of a volcano! Super fun activity to do to keep the kids entertained but must be done with adult supervision since it is a chemical reaction!

The concern I have is that the label does not state USP (but the description on Amazon says USP)."The U.S. Pharmacopeial Convention (USP) is a scientific nonprofit organization that sets standards for the identity, strength, quality, and purity of medicines, food ingredients, and dietary supplements manufactured, distributed and consumed worldwide."To make the claim you are selling USP, but not actually putting it on the label, is misleading, IMO. How am I supposed to know it meets the USP standards if it isn't USP on the label. The USP on the label is supposed to mean it has been tested. It is what I expected when I ordered. I expected product that has been tested.It is clear that the product was repackaged by the seller. The seller is probably buying USP for repackaging. But I don't know this for sure.

Cheaper than other products for my desired application. In case of emergency, my thyroid will be safe. I’m too close to a certain type of power plant for comfort and I have the proper background in chemistry to know proper procedure and application. Do Not purchase chemicals without proper knowledge.
