Economical way to reduce airline luggage fee
I bought this vest to eliminate the need to carry a purse during low-cost airline flights. I decided to travel only with a small bag that counts as a personal item, and my regular purse was too large to fit inside it along with needed change of clothes, toiletries, etc. I have a sturdy, safari-style vest with multiple gusseted pockets, but it was going to be an overkill for this trip. As other reviewers pointed out, all pockets are flat with no gusset, which I actually found beneficial as the vest remained streamlined. During the trip I wore the vest on top of a thin hoodie, and I wore my regular sized fleece jacket as the outermost layer with no problem. The open pass-through pockets under the armpits were great, as I was able to carry a small water bottle and snacks in them without adding another (albeit small and disposable) bag that could count against luggage allowance. I would not use it as a work vest because of its lightweight construction, but for occasional travel it is going to be fine, especially if you unzip the front zipper while seated. It is a one-way zipper, and the bottom tends to pull if the pockets are loaded. I usually wear women's size 8-10, and a medium vest fit perfectly on top of a lightweight hoodie. It was very handy to have all necessities right on me instead of digging into a purse, and I may even travel with this vest even when I can carry my purse onboard.

Surprisingly functional and comfortable.
I like that it is of good quality, lightweight and does not feel cumbersome. It has a very nice feel. The zippers are smooth thin and do not get in the way of pen or pencil pocket clips. I am a writer and do research. I use the vest to hold pens, pencils, magnifying glasses, and other writer's paraphernalia when in the field. I have two vests, one a medium size to go over light warm weather shirts and one a large size to fit over bulkier colder weather clothing. I would not hesitate to buy even larger sizes if appropriate to conditions. For me, theses vests present an excellent value for the low price.

Reasonably Durable and A Good Value UPDATED 5/9/19
Initially, I thought it was way too light. Was looking for something a bit warmer. That being said seems well made, double stitched where stress on the seams might be an issue. Material seems to be a rip stop nylon type. Zipper teeth are not metal, but the zippers are metal. Plenty of pockets, two very deep ones, an inside one that my Galaxy S7 fits into easily, all with zippers(except the 2 deep ones.) As I said, very, very lightweight, but realized that means never too warm. Just wear something over it if needed. UPDATE: After wearing it near every workday since I got it,it's still ok, just have a problem with the stitching. Inside pocket let go after 4-5 months of heavy use, and the stitches between the right upper pocket and non-zippered pocket let go. All and all, considering the price and the heavy use it's gotten, I'm pretty happy with it. Thinking I'll have to order a new one pretty soon.

Made for a guy but works great for a woman!
I spent hours online shopping for a reasonably priced travel vest that would make it unnecessary for me to carry a purse during a 3 week trip to southern Europe, and avoid the predations of pickpockets. First my husband and I ordered 2 vests from another company, and neither of them fit either of us. Next I got him a vest that fit him just fine, but which I had doubts would be right for me, even in a smaller size. I gave up shopping for a vest designed exclusively for women--very expensive, not nearly enough pockets, and very limited selection of colors. When I found that one very highly regarded travel company was touting "unisex" vests, that convinced me to go back to looking for one geared toward me. So glad I I ordered this one, which is perfect as well as very reasonably priced.. The inside zipper pouch (there's just one) is roomy enough for an RFID zipper bag into which I can easily fit my passport, a case for a few IDs and credit cards, and some cash. In the zippered outside pockets there's plenty of room for my large cell phone and a good mini-charger in one, a folding scarf in another, a folding sunhat in another, and sundries like pocket size tissues, hand sanitizer, dental floss, etc. in yet another, while still being remarkably lightweight. I love the fact that it is hip length, rather than waist length. I can comfortably wear it zipped or unzipped. I ordered a size L, charcoal gray (almost black), which will look great and like an "outfit" worn with jeans, a skirt or skort, yoga pants, a casual dress, even my waterproof black nylon overpants for boating and water recreation. I normally wear a large or extra large women's t shirt or top. (I don't like tops feeling tight across my shoulders), and it fits great. The length reaches my hip, and the vest fits comfortably even when zipped. I might decide to take out the sunhat and the scarf for our flight and put them back on an as need basis to limit the bulk, but it's perfectly comfortable even packed with everything I need. I suggest Amazon add savvy women travelers to the list of groups to whom to highly recommend this product. It has the tunic length many women prefer and, although there's only one inside pocket, it's large enough to be truly useful.

Only ok.
I was looking for a summer utility vest for travel and hiking. From the description, it seemed to be a good candidate. About everything was in the same price range, $20 to $30. My initial impression was pretty good. Reasonable quality construction, a nice appearing fabric, and pretty good layout & design. I ordered XL based upon other recommendations. I'm 5'9' & just over 200 lbs. (no comments) and it is just big enough. In retrospect, I should have ordered 2XL. After a few days of use, I still generally like the design. It has two slit pockets for hands and loose stuff. There is only one interior pocket down low on the left side. I'd wish for a second interior breast pocket on the right. Both sides bottom have two zippered pockets, I'm not sure if I will use them all. There are two upper front zippered breast pockets, both about right. I can think of lots of additional features, but that is probably beyond this scope, and I don't see really creative products available. Negatives: The polyester fabric is nice looking, but very slippery, and it does not breathe, so this vest gets hot quick on warm days. There is no collar, so it rubs into your neck. Further, when there is any pocket loading, the vest pulls to the "heavy" side, further increasing the discomfort on your neck. Might be ok if you have a collared shirt on underneath. I'm going to try another product with a different fabric. I've worn it enough that I'm not comfortable returning it now, but I wouldn't buy it again. I'd be happy paying twice the price for a true quality garment with technical fabric and a more creative design, but I can't find any available.

Good value and fit
The vest arrived six days ago, and I’ve worn it every day since I received it. The description said it was made using U.S. sizes, and I ordered a large accordingly. It fits perfectly. Interestingly, the size label peels off, and under it is an Asian size XXXL label. So far, all of the zippers work as expected and the pockets are very handy. This is a lightweight vest, which is what I wanted. I’m planning to order several more.

Made for a great last minute Han Solo costume for Galaxy's Edge @ Disneyland
Officially adults are not allowed to wear costumes at Disneyland, which is probably for the best. But, now that it's home to the ultimate Star Wars photo op, Galaxy's Edge, I didn't want to show up in a t-shirt and jeans. Thankfully Amazon had this vest on Prime with one day delivery, paired with the appropriate shirt (also procured from Amazon with one day shipping) they maid for a perfect not-a-costume-but-kinda-a-costume outfit. I even got mistaken for a Galaxy's Edge cast member a couple of times (which incidentally earned me a free Disneyland churro). Added bonus, the thing has somewhere between 10 and 500,000 pockets to put stuff in, and they all zip up, which was perfect for keeping my stuff secure on the rides.

Light weight durable material deep pockets.
Edited my first review. This best is OK. Zipper opposite to most men's jacket. Pull tab is on left not right. When you look in mirror you see all these silver zipper tabs. Would have been better in black. I went up in size and it's too big. I think it suggested you do that. There are 9 pockets. 2 side pockets do not have zipper but are deep pockets I actually missed them first time I tried on. No inside pockets. I am not likely to use because of the front zipper , the appearance of all the silver zipper tabs in front look odd to me and the size. My fault on the size. The 2 side pockets without zippers would be easy to pick pocket or have stuff fall out when removing vest. I think there are better choices. I will stick with my Orvis version.
