Quite enjoyed it.
Liked the aircraft action, but not really into romantic novels.

Good tale.
Technical accuracy very good as is the story-telling. Small matter but Mr Formosa might research the honours system more thoroughly (for example, in another book, a DSO is given posthumously, which being an order, can't happen). Not a problem as journalists are far more remiss.

Excellent story telling.
This is the 3rd book I've read by this author. He really does tell a good story, a mix of fact and fiction. I only wish that his publisher would invest in a proper proof reader to do this author justice. He really is very good and I look forward to the next title.

Excellent WW2 novel
Based on true events with a plausible 'cast' and well paced, this book is well worth a read. Go for it!

Grab the joy stick and get ready for an exciting flight of adventure!
Formosa continues to provide well-researched WWII ripping yarns!

Excellent read
Captures squadron life during that period perfectly. A good mix of flying and social life that you get drawn into. As the squadron moves into Europe after D Day the tension ratchets up and the pilots become more concerned over the need to survive as the end of the war gets closer .

Misleading Title and cover pic - not about the meteor prototype.
Very disappointing. I was expecting to read a rivetting account of the development of the meteor, full of technical details. What I got was a rather flaccid account of a jet fighter pilot who doesn't seem to get much action.
