Other brands have reviews where the honing rod selector must be squeezed in or some say it’s difficult to zip the case. This, at least for me, fit the Field Sharpener perfectly! I love it. It keeps the plates safe so I no longer have to keep them backwards to keep them from getting dinged or scratched in my backpack. Yes, even diamond coated plates can get defaced if they rub a metal against something in a backpack for hours. Also, it keeps other things SAFE FROM the diamond plates. Overall, for the price, I think it’s a must have AND Work Sharp should sell one at a similar price.

If you’re going to buy the sharpener then buy the case too. Well made and fits perfectly. Protects the sharpener from the elements and keeps the stones from scratching anything while being stowed away.
