Hurricane Harps "Hot House Blues" Harmonica Set
The "Hot House Blues" harmonicas have proven to be perfect for me and the keys are just what I need to play everything on my song list so far. The zippered case is classy and essential to keeping my harps together, clean, and safe. I found the quality of both the harp set and case to be oustanding, and the price very reasonable. I've been very impressed with speedy deliveries, product descriptions and accurate handling. I would highly recommed this product, and the services of Amazon.com to anyone intersted.

For the money these harps are ok, and I have only used them for a little bit, but they are nothing close to a good quality harp. I bought them to have multiple keys without having to spend a ton of money and for that they are OK. The case is nice and seems to be built well. Their volume is about 1/2 to 2/3 that of my other harps and they don't seem to be as clean. For beginners they will be plenty and will be great for the average musician. If you want that perfect sound and volume these are not the ones for you.

Excellent for price
Quality was superior to what I thought it might be due to other brands at much higher prices. These are well made and my musician sons are very pleased.

Delightful -- If You Need Them
This set of seven "Hot House Blues" Hurricane Harps covers an octave's worth of blues harmonicas (G, A, B-flat, C, D, E and F) in a nice little zippered pouch. In point of fact most diatonic harmonica players, even those who play frequently with others, will rely on C, G, D and perhaps A, but it is comforting to have them all -- at a very good price. Nothing in my set of these says "Hohner" but that's what they appear to be -- smallish, tight, Chinese-made, a little quiet (low in reverb) and perhaps a trifle shrill at the treble edge, though not off-key and reliable for the player who doesn't try to overpower them with breath. Also, if you have a bunch of kids at a birthday party and want to give them all their own harmonica, feel free to break up this set -- they are tuned to different keys but all sound similar and are of reasonably good quality. (Give the birthday boy (or girl) the zippered case.) Intermediate-level players, though, will probably advise taking the money this bargain set costs and getting something more durable and German-made, like Hohner's Marine Band 1896.

these harps are fantastic. No they are not top of the line
For the price, these harps are fantastic. No they are not top of the line, but for a budget they keys are the perfect way to play in all the keys you'll need.

Basic
This is a very basic, beginner set of harmonicas. My husband is just learning and already has a really nice harmonica. Even so, he felt that these were just of average quality. He's had them for 8 months now and hasn't really used them.

Harmonica set
Just a beautiful presentation. All the harps have a terrific sound. Well worth the modest investment. Anyone who enjoys playing the harmonica for fun or as a professional would like these.
