Best aftermarket antenna I have ever bought
I have a 2008 Subaru Outback and the factory antenna just sucked. Station reception was directional because the antenna is mounted on the back hatch glass. I wanted to mount a small amplified antenna on the roof like the newer Outbacks but couldn't find anything I liked. I finally came across this antenna and thought for the money I couldn't go wrong. Let me tell you, this antenna picks up amazingly well. I am easily picking up radio stations from well over an hour's drive from me and I am extremely impressed. This little antenna is without a doubt the best antenna that I have ever purchased hands down. I would highly recommend this. It wasn't the easiest install because I had to run the wiring up inside the headliner and had to drill a hole in my roof, but if you have any mechanical aptitude and knowledge of wiring you will have no trouble with this. I did use silicone sealant when I bolted it down to ensure there would be no leaks and I love the look as well. It looks like it should have been there from the factory. I truly couldn't be happier with this product. Please excuse the picture. I didn't clean off the excess silicone from worthless sharkfin I had installed first before taking it. Trust me, this antenna is worth every penny...

Fits great and looks great on my NB Miata. I like it a lot.
This seems to be an awesome replacement for the failed power antenna on my 1999 Mazda Miata. It looks great and fits well. You can but don't have to connect the power wire to the correct wire on the existing wire harness (mine was grey if I remember correctly) if you want the power boost. Mine has a bit of a whistle in the signal that I assume is coming from my cars power wire. I haven't gotten around to testing it with the power disconnected since i noticed that, so I'm not sure what difference not having the boost will make, but I assume it will be fine since I don't listen to the radio much. It is short enough I just put my car cover over it without a problem..

Works fine, time will tell if better quality than the ...
This is the same as a Metra product previously owned. Works fine, time will tell if better quality than the terrible quality of the Metra. One big advantage is that wires exit to the side of the stem, which means can use a socket instead of a box end to tighten (big advantage in tight quarters). If using on a fender (i.e. vs roof mount) be aware the stem is somewhat shorter than optimal, might have to modify spacer to get it to thread.

Amazing reception with 12v hooked up
I am very impressed with this antenna. Installation is easy, although the threads on the base of the antenna are a little short and it took some work to get the nut on. The best part is the reception when hooked up to 12 volts. Adding power to the antenna took some stations from static to crystal clear. I get much better reception than the factory antenna did. It looks nice and has a very simple design. Looks right at home on the fender of my 3000gt. Overall, definitely recommend this 100%

Worked perfectly!
Replaced the stock antenna on a 2005 Corolla for less than 1/4 of the cost of the OEM. It dropped into the cut-out in the roof perfectly. The only modification was that I had to swap the preamp wire connector from the Toyota antenna to the new one. Other than that, the assembly looks stock. The reception and range were excellent.

Fit perfect on my 2005 Miata
Easy install, I found a YouTube video of a similar product. This one was even easier to install and cost half the price. I used the connector they gave me and snipped the end. The power cord on the car is the grey and black one. I snipped that and used wire strippers to then twist the wires together. Took 20 minutes and was done. The sound quality is great. Way better than stock. Great product.

Great antenna
Custom install on an Alfa, looks great, great range with using the power wire. Well worth the money, this is my second one on a different car. Will but again.

got it to work.
I don't have easy access to the underside of my rear quarter. I used an O2 sensor socket on an extension just to get close, but unable to get the threads to start. Ground down the included cup washer to about half depth and finally got it on. Seems the stud is a little on the short side. Before I ground down the washer it would only get about 2 turns on the shaft. Radio reception is acceptable. Can't tell a difference. Sounds the same with or without power. Looks good.
