Product looks good however the main clippers fail to power on even tho its 100% charged. Detailors worked fine tho

These are excellent clippers for cutting. But they are more style over substance for me.They look so stylish, really on the looks front they are the best around. They have some useful features. Cordless, rechargeable, good battery life, there is even a nice loop on the bottom so they can be hung traditionally at a barbers.Where they fail for me is the fact they are so heavy. They are unwieldy. If you are looking to use these commercially, and you are busy, these might not be for you. They will most definitely tire you out and you will lose control. This is a big negative for me. They are so weighty that they are just hard to use. I get that the styling is very cool. But practicality must be the first thing you think about when you design something like hair clippers. The weight of these means you lose precision when you are working and you have to really concentrate to cut hair neatly. Being so hard to control they will promote mistakes. And you dont get much of a second chance if you're cutting hair poorly.I don't want to go all in with these clippers. They cut so well, they are so nice to look at. For the average man who wants to do their own hair and beard then they are going to perform well. But if you want real control or if you wish to use them professionally. I would say look elsewhere. Shame really.I will keep using them. I am just an average man who cuts his own beard and sometimes his hair.

My wife wrote this review and before we jump into it I'd like to point out that she said, 'I'm not a hairdresser.' Well I can confirm that because the last time she cut my hair prior to going offshore she managed to accidentally cut a huge strip of hair right down to the wood when she forgot to put on the guides. Thankfully, being a bloke of less than delicate sensibilities I figured that six weeks away from home would allow me enough time to grow my grey hair back. Anyway, over to the worst haircutter in the UK AKA, my wife.I’m not a hairdresser but have been cutting my 6 yo son’s and husband’s hair since March 2020! Learning as I go via YouTube and practise. (And a lot of mistakes - hubs)These are a heavy-weight set and feel good quality. The battery display is particularly useful to know if you have enough charge before starting.The longest guard is 12mm and shorter sizes down to 1mm. If you prefer some length on top, you’ll need longer guard combs. The good news is the large clipper fits the standard Wahl combs. My son and husband both have around 1.5-2inches on top and the Wahl combs allow me to do this.I use the included 6-9-12mm guards for the back and sides. I like the lever which adjusts the length by just a mm or so, it means you can blend more smoothly through the lengths.The second, smaller clipper is good for using without a guard to edge the hair cut. However it doesn't come with any useful guards for length (for us) and none of my Wahl or Remington ones fit it.That’s a shame actually because the smaller clipper would be great for a child’s haircut! I think they are missing a trick not providing comb/guards for the small one.The clippers are quite heavy compared to my plastic ones. It gives them a feeling of quality but your wrist begins to ‘feel it’ after a while.They are nice and quiet. Quieter than my Wahl clippers (before I recently dropped and broke them) and my husband’s cheapy one he uses for his chest.Overall a very nice addition to my growing hairdressing set.The style is a little questionable and reminds me of pirate treasure, but my son quite likes them!

If you like the steam-punk look this will suit you down to the ground, if you don’t care what design it has so long as it works it will it will fit the bill.It has levers rather than buttons for the on-off function. The lever for trim depth adjustment has 4 distinct stops rather than hold-by-friction – I consider this a plus point. They are satisfactorily heavy with an ergonomic grip. There are plenty of hair length guides for the bigger trimmer, with just 3 for the detail trimmer.They both cut hair and beard well and are not over-loud in operation. The bigger one without a guide still leaves a velvety short stubble, but this can be removed completely with the detail trimmer.The instructions, while understandable, had some amusing poor translations, referring to it getting a fever during use, rather than saying it gets warm.A minor niggle for me is the detail trimmer. I would have preferred the cutting width to be smaller with a slight radius, plus a couple of longer length guides to make it a better moustache trimmer. The product descript says it has a straight edge so this was not enough to lose it a star. Oh, and a nylon cape is thrown in for good measure.
