The material is not conducive for the beach. It gets hot to the touch. We had to use a towel on top.

So disappointed in this product. The vinyl/polyester material is very plasticky to the touch - not anything I would want to go near on a hot day at the beach. Also, can't imagine even being able to cover it with a towel or blanket because it is so slippery. The size is very nice, but pointless since I can't use it for what was intended. Not sure I will have any use for this product and I unfortunately waited too long to return it.

The stakes were not easy to stick and stay in the sand, even with pounding with a rock. The loops for the mat also easily slip off the stakes rendering the whole thing pointless.Putting the mat back into the tiny bag and including the stakes was not easy at all.This just didn’t work for us.

This is easy to throw in your beach bag and best of all, easy to shake the sand off. It works for us

Ours collected a lot of sand on it, I'm not sure of I was missing the trick to it but served its purpose of helping us hold the spot on the beach

this product is amazing so light and easy to carry on, easy to used . Since I bought it I take it to park for picnic and to the beach

Basically a tarp. Got super hot and sand stuck right to it.

I wouldn't call it sand proof, but its ideal for the beach. You can put your stuff on it, sit on it, etc... and then rinse and fold when done!
