Yes, Legend is my favorite, too. And there are moments in First Chronicles that simply can't be beat, such as Druss' response to the attacking pirate vessels at sea [if you've a taste for that as well, I recommend Gemmell's trilogy of Troy.] But fear not that Legend of Deathwalker may disappoint. It has elements that were honed closer to perfection than in the prior two volumes. In particular, the heroines, all three of them; and the relationship between magic and the land. Yes, I shall read White Wolf, but for me, The Legend of Deathwalker is the final volume of a trilogy...and it delivers, mightily.
