Q: Do these have a baby smell or flowery?

No it has a very nice, subtle sweet & clean scent. Similar to lavender-vanilla-ish. But once the clothes are washed it’s extremely subtle. I need to bring my nose to the clothing to even smell it.

Q: So why does this product contain microplastics? PVA is plaguing the laundry world. I had hoped this product would use a plant based material?

The PVA that the pods are made of is biodegradable - this material is not plastic. The pouch itself has a plastic liner made with recyclable plastic to keep the shelf life. Without the plastic liner, the minerals inside the pods outgas and would harden. Also, the shelf life would be only a couple of months. We are actively looking for an alternative to the plastic liner that will still keep the product's shelf life.
