I was making a move and needed the extra space so I could do it in one trip (5-hour freeway drive), and this bag was amazing!!! I almost bought one of the hard-shell roof-top carriers, but those are limited if you have bulky items. I was able to fit three suitcases, small, medium, and large, plus one of those black storage bins with the yellow lids, plus my portable room heater, plus several small boxes in the bag with room to spare. It rained on the drive, but everything was completely dry. You can see in the photo that I had additional straps, but I was being paranoid and actually didn't need them but it was more for peace of mind. The best part is that where I moved to, I have limited space, so the bag folds up really small for easy storage. It exceeded my expectations. Oh yeah, here's a tip: I also laid the bag out in my living room first and played with the suitcases and storage boxes, etc, while they were empty so I could plan what configuration would fit best. Like playing Tetris. It would have been too difficult and heavy to try and do this with the suitcases, etc filled while putting them on the roof of my SUV. I was able to maximize the space/placement and then load it on my roof. systematically.

This was the MVP of a recent cross country road trip (New Mexico to Ohio and back) I took with my mother, a toddler and three dogs. We loaded up all our bags with our clothes in this rooftop cargo bag and frankly it was the only way we were able to take everything we took with us. It installed easily. We experienced snow, rain and absolutely frigid temperatures and the bag held up great. Our belongings arrived to our destination dry. While driving we did notice some noise when we’d go above 80mph. The straps slap and flail like crazy so I did have to buy some Velcro covers separately for the return trip. And surprisingly I was able to fold it up and fit it in the included storage bag after our trip was done! Overall I’m very happy with this purchase and will use again on future road trips!

This carrier is very well built and held up great during long road trips. The material feels thick, waterproof, and durable, and it handled extended highway travel without issues. The only downside is capacity, it didn’t hold as much as I expected based on the listing. That said, for lighter or more compact packing, it performs reliably and secures well to the roof. I really like this. I was able to fit a lot on top of the car. The carrier secured nicely….straps and clasps are strong. When not in use, I just keep the carrier and straps underneath the floor of the cargo area where the spare tire is.

We used this Sailnovo soft rooftop cargo carrier for a 28-hour road trip from Texas to Maryland in November. We drove at 60–70–80 mph, and it stayed very secure without moving at all. We also drove through rain, and everything inside stayed completely dry. Easy to install, durable, and reliable. Highly recommend!

Before purchasing, I compared this product with similar brands, and selected this brand based on cost. I neglected to notice this product does not come with clips that hook underneath the door weather stripping. Instead for a non cargo rack install, the straps actually go through both door openings and latch inside the vehicle. There are two issues with this style of mounting, first if it's raining, rain works its way along the strap, past the door seal and drips inside the car. Also depending on the shape of your car roof, and how much head room you have, the straps can interfere with the occupants. In their defense, they did not mis-represent the hardware, that was on me as I didn't catch that it doesn't come with clips. Also we did experience some rain on our trip and some water did make it's way into the carrier bag. The zippers were fully closed and the rain flap was secured over each zipper. So I don't know if the rain got in through a zipper, or through one of the sewn seams. The quality of the bag material was very good, and the straps were good quality. Also this bag did not come with an anti-slip mat like some of the others do.

I’ve been really impressed with this! We did not have the budget for something top of the line, but wanted something heavy duty that would last us a long time. We use this for when we go camping and it fits just about all of our gear - no longer is my kiddo sitting in the back seat squished like a sardine! It is very easy to get set up and is very secure. We drive on Texas highways where we go 70-75mph and have had no issues whatsoever. It’s kept our belongings safe in the rain, and after many uses since its purchase..we’ve found that it really is very durable. My biggest concern for products like this is always issues with zippers - happy to report that so far, we’ve had zero issues with anything! Highly recommend!

Do not purchase for on the roof of your car without braces. The straps in the package do not have the same size as the straps on the cargo carrier.

Wir haben uns lange überlegt welche Art von Dachbox für uns die richtige ist. Ob faltbar ich war zunächst skeptisch oder feste Box. Jedoch hat uns überzeugt, dass sie zum einen platzsparend aufzubewahren ist, das Volumen für unsere ZWecke wirklich ideal ist. Die Handhabung ist super einfach, auch beim 1. Mal aufbauen. Sehr gut finde ich wie simpel die Befestigung ist und dass ich keine Querträger benötige obwohl eine Reling vorhanden ist - das schont den Geldbeutel. Wir haben sie bei unserem Urlaub eingesetzt und waren wirklich erstaunt, dass es wirklich wasserfest ist - Regen hatten wir auf der Hinfahrt, dass nichts verrutscht sowohl die Box als auch Inhalt nicht, also war hier meine Befürchtung völlig unbegründet. Sie ist sehr leicht, was den Transport und den Aufbau wirklich erleichert. An unserem Urlaubsort konnten wir den Luxus geniessen die Dachbox vollständig wieder zusammenzubauen ,sodass wir sie für die zwei Wochen perfekt in der Tasche lagern konnten. Spart Sprit für den Urlaubsaufenthalt und man muss sich keine GEdanken machen ob die Dachhöhe ausreicht - bei einem SUV. Da wir Geocacher sind und eine Großfamilie wird diese Box uns definitiv öfter begleiten und die Ausflüge erleichtern. Fazit: Wir sind froh uns für diese Box entschieden zu haben. Preis/Leistung - wirklich TOP. Nur zu empfehlen.

Really good quality and easy to fit to the car, straps come into the car and tightened from inside. Just be careful of the placement as they may touch your head while driving. This allowed us to downsize from and Audi S5 to BMW M1 and we now have more storage space for camping. We purchased this as a friend also had the same model. Not that you will need to supply a this non slip rubber mat and place this on your car roof before the Carrier bag is placed on the car roof. It will help to stop the bag moving around and avoid any potential scratches on the roof. I very much doubt that this would happen however and al in all this is a well made product.
