Electric 1500W 360° Rotating 21L Rotisserie Grill for Kebabs, Skewers and Roasts

So far I have used the rotisserie for kebabs and whole chicken. I made my own doner kebab with 1kg of freshly minced lamd and some seasonings. The rotisserie could easily handle around 1.5kg of doner on it. Although another reviewer used the excuse that this product can't hold a "Tesco's chicken" that is in fact not true at all, even though he used that as an excuse for returning the product because he changed his mind. Please ignore the review claiming that Tesco's chickens don't fit inside this as my pictures include a whole "Tesco" medium sized chicken. I was tempted to get a large chicken but because of that review I opted for the medium sized only to discover that a whole "large" chicken can in fact fir inside this rotisserie. Cooking a whole chicken is easy and although the instructions clearly say one should use "butcher's string" to tie the wings and legs it is not necessary as the wing tips can be cut off and the legs are simply put inside the loose skin after holes have been cut into it. Although the kebabs cooked well I did have an issue with the first whole chicken but it was nothing to do with the rotisserie. I had made the mistake of coating the chicken with a dry BBQ rub and it burnt the skin but not the meat. So, if cooking a whole chicken one must remember to either marinade or use a wet rub. Overall I am very imressed with the performance of this product and it will be regularly used. It does take a couple of minutes to heat up but once heated it cooks really well. This is a good quality product that will last a good few years if looked after so I am recommending it as it does deliver good value when considering it's uses and a whole large chicken can be bought and cooked for less than those sold in the supermarkets, with ones own flavours.

Easy to use and delicious results

Bought this on a whim, didn’t expect much, but I’m impressed. So far cooked 2 whole chickens in it, both took around an hour, juicy and tender! Tonight made chicken donner, again chicken was juicy and tender and so so tasty! Whilst it doesn’t have a temperature control, the heat does go on and off so your food doesn’t get burned. I would definitely recommend this to anyone toying with the idea of purchasing a rotisserie

Having used it extensively, I can confidently recommend this grill for its reliable performance. It excels at roasting whole chickens, provided they weigh no more than 1.8kg, resulting in a flavourful dish. The grill boasts a generous 21L capacity, is simple to clean, and includes an instruction booklet.

I really like these vertical rotisseries. They take a chicken that’s large enough for a few people. If the legs and wings are well secured with needle skewers, this will take a chicken up to approx 2.5 kg. Most horizontal rotisseries struggle with anything over about 1,5kg. It cooks well and the chicken has a lovely crispy skin whilst the meat retains taste and moisture. I baste whilst it’s cooking with some white wine, seasoning and herbs plus a small bit of oil mixed through. The smell is delicious. My main problem with this design is cleaning. Even though the handle lifts off to allow the glass to slide right the way round, it’s impossible to access the metal reflective plate next to and behind the element. This gets spattered and goes brown. There’s a glass bit belo the element where the blue light shines through. Take care if cleaning this as the edge is sharp; I sliced my thumb open cleaning it. My power light failed after I used it a few times. The unit is powered, but there’s no light. Seller advised it’s guaranteed for 12 months so I’ll see how it goes. Takes up relatively little counter space and with kebab skewers and plate, it’s versatile. I’d live to give it 5 stars but it’s not top rate.
