Q: I'm between a M and L. Any suggestions?

What I do is buy both a medium and a large pair, and take both apart (running them under warm water in the sink helps soften them up and makes this easier). I then assemble a pair with the flanged piece (the part that actually goes inside your ear) from the large pair, and the medium sized concha bowl part (outer piece) . Then I run the flanged piece under hot water to soften it up, and then put it in my ear until it cools. Perfect fit, and less likely to accidentally back out.Obviously it's twice as expensive to do this. But I use these every day at work so it's worth the cost.

Q: Has anyone used these for sleeping?

Yes I have. I took the cord off for better comfort. Worked well.

Q: Do these come with a hard case for carrying?

Yes it does have a hard case and it has a chain to connect both ear buds

Q: How do I know these fit and how can I test that they reduce noise in a dental setting?

I'm not sure about the size but they'll work perfectly in the dental setting I work around heavy machinery and when I am using the earplugs I don't hear anything

Not my (ear) cup of tea... But I can see why others might love it...

It's not the easiest to put on properly everytime... The outer triple flanged thing and the inner ear plug are separate, so they twist out of position if you keep putting them on and taking them off... It is a good option for those who put it on for long durations as they fit comfortably once you put them on... They are not for those who have to frequently use then for short durations... Also I have trouble figuring out which one is left or right because it's written in tiny protrusion on the flange... A colour code would be easier, also I'm not too bright...
