Leeds for Sale.
Nostalgic look at the world of British football memorabilia. Leeds were the best "advert" for this topic for the 70's. Mainly due to the gimmicks and novel ideas of Paul Trevillion. Trevillion changed Leeds' dour image into the most popular team merchandising of the 70's. The iconic yellow Admiral away strip, the envy of the rest of English football. The numbered sock hold-ups. The souvenir footballs, kicked into the crowd before the games. The pre-match "choreographed" warm-ups. The centre circle wave to all sides of the grounds, home or away. No other club did these things before Trevillion got his marketing hands on Leeds. The stories surrounding all this, are told in this excellent book on Leeds merchandise and publicity stunts. Plus all the football cards and magazine and programme items featuring Leeds through the 70s.
