Yummy!
All the items were fresh and in perfect condition with no broken cookies, etc. It came in a cute box perfect for giftgiving, with a pamphlet describing what was inside, and all those items were in there with the exception of three but they put a disclaimer that said due to availability they may have to substitute and that was OK with me because they replaced them with something I thought was even better! I ordered the 40 count box and there were 42 in there.I loved all but four of them. My favorite were all the ones with high quality chocolate that is so much better than USA snack chocolate. It was the highlight of my day to reach into the box to try something different that I’ve never had before.! WELL WORTH THE MONEY!! 😛* Mostly sweet treats.*If someone has allergies, they have a link on the pamphlet that you can click on to see the ingredients.* my only complaint is most of the snacks were tiny but snack bags are smaller in Asian countries than in the US and treats aren’t good for me anyway! If the treats were bigger, I would just end up eating more!* I read some reviews from past years where this company sent the treats in just a plastic bag! Since that wasn’t my case, I wonder if they read the reviews and now they are making sure the food is sent in boxes now.

It was okay
This box has a lot of snacks, but I have not been impressed with the quality. Some of them are tasty, but the majority have not been appealing to me, unfortunately.

Smiles all around ☺️
I had a few motivators to purchase this item for my six year old son. 1) A reward for not trying to get sent home from school early by making up excuses to see the nurse. 2) As a bonus while celebrating his kindergarten graduation. 3) To open up a discussion about about another culture in a fun way that easy for a child to relate to.All goals were not only met, but exceeded.Pros:•The presentation and box is very cute and attractive.•Complete list of names and descriptions in English made it much easier for my son to look forward to participating.•Lots of variety with sweet, salty, savory, sour, etc., kept us born interested.•The snacks were high quality and tasted absolutely delicious.•We enjoyed almost every option. The fried cod sticks were the only ones we couldn't, but our cats were more than happy to make sure they weren't wasted.•Snacks were the perfect sizes for both my son and I to try them.•While he tried each goodie I was able to share a different fun fact about Japanese culture. The tasty treats put him in such a good that he even asked follow-up questions!•Fun, creative, and educational activity to spend a little extra time with the kids.•By discussing the culture, people, and accomplishments of the country over something as simple and engaging as candy, I was able to negate some some very harsh, biased, and false statements that were recently shared with him in anger and ignorance.Cons:•Will make you want to buy more.•You'll develop new cravings for snacks that aren't avaliable at the nearest convenience store.•A fun, new way to fail your diet.•Would make for a terrible gift. It's so good you wouldn't want to give it away. Your only option would be to buy two so that you can gift one while also keeping one. Never mind....it would be the perfect gift so long as you got two....you know, for quality control. And the price is definitely reasonably enough to do so.
