overpriced hardware, terrible software
tried it for a few weeks, saw no improvement. it actually woke my kid up more often than when it was not being used. the price for the hardware is ridiculous, all it is is a Bluetooth activated vibrator, and nothing more. the software actually requires A LOT OF MANUAL DATA ENTRY, there is nothing in the hardware to sense your kid moving around or waking up. You can buy a smart watch for a fraction of the cost of this unit that has biometric, motion, and sound sensors. for the price it makes you think it's a lot smarter than it really is. and the software isn't great either, it doesn't let you adjust intervals so you constantly have to mess with the time your kid went to sleep. total waste of money in my opinion

So many issues, so little space to type them all
I am returning my sleep guardian. It does automatically vibrate, but only after you baby-step it through every process of your child's bedtime every night. One thing you should know before ordering- you will need to know exactly when your child falls asleep, so you will most likely need a video monitor in addition. We had to get one to use it properly. The app will only work for me within 5-10 feet of the pod, and the signal doesn't even work well when there is a wall between us and I usually have to go into the room (and risk waking my light sleeper) to tell the vibrations to stop. Yes, you have to tell the app to STOP the vibrating EVERY night, or it will just keep vibrating. My biggest peeve is, since my son doesn't always fall asleep quickly, the app will take on a mind of it's own when he hasn't fallen asleep at his usual time. It will decide that my son MUST have fallen asleep and I just forgot to tell it, and alert me that vibrations will begin in 5 minutes (while he's laying awake) leaving me scrambling to stop them in time. Then, trying to set the fall asleep time to reflect the accurate time is impossible- especially if he hasn't yet fallen asleep. It will not let me, and has actually refused to let me continue using the app since it thinks I don't know when he actually fell asleep. Customer service (which gets back to you the next morning) has told me to just enter a false "going to bed time" to adjust for that malfunction.Another very frustrating flaw: it has failed to alert me when vibrations will begin on 2 occasions, fully waking and terrifying my son. When I ordered this I thought it was similar to the apps on smartphones that detect sleep cycles by sensing movement during sleep. That wold be wonderful, considering this product was $230. This product has a long way to go to justify that price tag.

but that was just an annoying exercise that probably made no difference
Worth every dollar. The Lully practically eliminated our daughters night terrors. It works perfectly for us. She started having night terrors when she was 9 months old- we'll never forget the first one because it is absolutely different than your average night waking. The terrors came in floods then would go away for a period. But they always resurfaced and they generally happened 2/3 hours after she fell asleep. By the way, our daughters share rooms, so everyone was affected. We heard about the Lully from the Sleepy Planet people and were willing to try anything. We started 3 months ago, still use it, and they have gone away, basically 100%. We started it when she was a little sick so the impact began about two weeks after we started. Then, her terrors went away.At first, the vibrations turned on about 90 minutes after she fell asleep, then it adjusted to 35 minutes after she fell asleep. I didnt understand or trust that change and played with the times to create more time between falling asleep and vibrations turning on, but that was just an annoying exercise that probably made no difference. I gave in to the suggested schedule and it works. She has had only 2 terrors in four months.Shell get one again, and she still has little crying episodes sometimes, but it's no longer a source of anxiety for us.Thank you for making this thing!

Worth every last penny!
By the time we were nearing the end of the initial, several-week long learning stage, the frequency of our daughter's night terrors was reduced to almost zero. This thing isn't perfect, and it doesn't claim to be. But it works. And if your child has night terrors, $200 is a very small price to pay, to be able to sleep through the night regularly again.

his night terrors have lessened and I would call them more like dreams than a terror
My son had been having night terrors for a few weeks before we bought the Lully. It did seem to work very well some nights where he stirred when it started to vibrate thus interrupting his sleep pattern. Other nights it did nothing at all to stop the terrors and some nights it actually seemed to trigger them. Bottom line, his night terrors have lessened and I would call them more like dreams than a terror. Was this due to the Lully or just time...can't say for sure. As most parents are, we were desperate to end our sons night terrors and would have tried anything. Yes, I would recommend trying this product but keep in mind that you may just use it for a month (they recommend tracking sleep patterns for 28 days). It's a little pricey for something that you use for potentially 30 days.

Worth every penny
If I could get this thing 10 stars I would, Getting your sanity back is priceless. It took a few days to get it calibrated, and for the past five months, we have only had one night terror, That was near the beginning when we were still in the set up process.
