Yes these are sticks and small branches and that is what birds need. Different lengths and different thicknesses in order to avoid arthritis in birds feet. They need what comes from nature. Sure, if you want to pick them up out of your yard and try to make it yourself go right ahead but these people do the work for me, it saves me the trouble and time and my birds are so much happier with these natural sticks and branches over the wooden dowel that usually comes with bird cages. Good price, nice natural quality, threaded bolts, washers and fly nuts to secure to any point of the cage. Added bonus, kit also comes with flat natural platforms for the birds, I didn't know what they were going to think about it but they actually love standing/sitting on them. I have both parakeets and my cockatiels and the branch sizes are ideal for them. My birds are happy and that's what matters. Thank you

These are smaller than expected. Luckily I bought these for my mom's budgies. So it's a good size for them. Definitely not for the larger birds because the perch is short. But for finches, canaries and other smaller bird species these are great. I'm gonna get another pack for my own budgies.

These perches are a little on the small size, especially the round platform ones. My cockatiel has a very large cage and we put in several perches for him to use. We wanted it to simulate a tree like experience for him. He likes them and uses them every day. They are made of natural wood and I did not notice any chemical smell to them at all. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is because the washers used to secure the perches were not the right fit. They were the right size overall but the center hole that the bolt went through was a little too big, therefore it was not as stable as it could be. Easy fix was that I sent my husband down to our local hardware store and got different washers - same size but smaller inside hole. Now they are very sturdy!

Bought these for my parrotlet. They look great in the cage (more natural) and the different diameters and platforms are good for her feet.

I needed short perches to intersperse with the longer perches that seem to be standard. The six that came in this set were perfect for my budgie and conure cages. I also wanted a platform for my conure, since I was told he might prefer to sleep on one (otherwise he slept clinging to the cage side). Bingo—sleeps on it every night, and also munches on yummy treats on it (see pic!). No complaints!

First, the smell.. when I opened the bag, it smelled like chemicals. Didn’t feel comfortable putting it in the cage with my squirrel, so I rinsed and aired it out to dry. Second, it didn’t quite work with the bars on my cage. The bars were a little too thin and not thick enough to make the branches sturdy. And lastly, they’re too thin for baby squirrels to use. Around 6-7 weeks, their balance isn’t great and my baby had difficulties trying to use the branches. He stuck to the platform, but it ended up being too small. Overall, I’d prefer thicker branches or planks.

My Green Cheek Conure LOVES this toy and it is good quality!! I would highly recommend.

This product is advertised WRONG! "Parrot Perch" they are maybe for budgies My parrot is bigger than the perches Waste of money. Wouldn't recommend .
