This product is of good quality and fits the 36x24 crate perfectly. A few things to understand, the 4" height is only the height of the bolsters around the crates edges, the center is egg crate foam, at the top of the peaks its 3 inches at the base its 2" at best. The bed cover can be removed for washing. The foam pad is removed with a zipper down the center and is easily removed. The bolsters are another story, the bolster is a single sleeve of non woven material holding the shredded foam in side. The unit has a single zipper all the way around and you can unzip the to remove the bolster. Getting the bolster back in place is challenging, it needs to be twisted and tightly packed to fit back into the cover properly. You also need to keep your fingers on the inside of the zipper so it does not catch the non woven bolster which would easily tear if caught in the zipper. I have only washed the cover once, it washed fine. Reassembly took some patience and care. I am worried about the zipper holding up. If not for the challenging design and concern about the zipper's longevity- I would have rated this bed higher. My dog really likes it. My advise to the manufacturer would be to use an extra inch of foam in the center matt; to make the bolster a two piece sleeve and to put a little less foam in the bolster so the reassembly would be easier and the zipper would be stressed less.

Although these are comparatively super expensive for a crate bed, I just *had* to order a duplicate for the upstairs crate for my new little puppy. These are maniacally perfect in every detail - every stitch, every comfort feature, the zippers - everything. My baby Westie abhorred the crate until I added this bed. Now he jumps in with his chew toys and lounges comfortably. I just could not be any more impressed. Thank you for designing and delivering an obsessively wonderful (though not inexpensive) product. I can tell the cost will be fully recompensed as this bed lasts for years and years.

Great crate - this fits perfectly in my Midwest wire crate, and it's proven to be nice and durable. My pup loves to scratch and bite things to test their durability before she sleeps on them, and I was sure she was going to put a hole in this one, but it withstood her initial testing and has been working great now for over 6 weeks with no issues. The foam seems much more supportive than a regular pilliow-type bed, and the dog likes it better than a totally flat mat because she can snuffle in to it a bit more. It also looks like upholstery fabric, so it looks a lot classier in the living room than many of our other dog supplies. Recommend highly!

I, and my pups, love the Luca Crate Cuddler!!! We now have 3 of them for my large breed dogs and they are their favorite bed. They are also my favorite bed in that they are easy to clean - cover zips off and the bottom doesn't get stuck on hair and dirt. Best investment every for my dogs! I would highly recommend it and am actually preparing to get a 4th for our household - I have 7 dogs :)

Would be better if it had flat foam like Big Barker, but puppy likes it overall.

The boosters are the same height as the pad. Not as pictured.

I really like this crate pad. It's sturdy, fits perfectly into our crate and it's comfy for the dog. It doesn't bunch up or get lumpy and it's stood up to my dog trying to dig through it. Wouldn't hesitate to buy this again or recommend it to a friend.

This is a very nice bed for the crate with low bolsters and sufficient padding, unlike most crate pads. It also looks nice and is zippered so the cover can be removed and washed. It fits a small size crate (though it did not fit the one I purchased because the inside of that crate was much smaller than the external dimensions listed).
