Another case of the shrinking energy bar
First time ordering this product. First thing I noticed upon opening the box of 8 bars: the package for each bar is 5 inches long. Yet the bar itself is only 3 inches long. 2 inches of empty space in the package of each bar. So right away I know I paid for way more than I actually got . Typical practice of a company shrinking the size of its product after it becomes popular, and still charging the same price as if it were a full bar that still filled the package. So disappointing. Do these companies think we don't notice? At least be honest and show exactly what we are getting-a 3 inch bar of food, not a 5 inch.

Who ate 1/3 of my bar?
Nice packaging design overall, taste was great, I was just expecting more than less than 1/3 air in the wrapped bar. As soon as I grabbed this bar out my freshly opened amazon package, to my dismay, i knew exactly what the manufacturer was doing. Oversized wrappers to make it look like this was more than just a "two-bite" snack. It's what the potato chip industry has been doing for years with large bags of nothing but air, but I guess I assumed these more niche' markets of whole food and ingredients, to my naivety, would never resort to silly and misleading tactics. Looks like i was wrong.Expensive snack with a lot of air.Gave an extra star because they actually do taste great.

Tasty!
UPDATE - after trying all flavors. Just FYI, not all flavors are good. I absolutely did NOT like the "Cashew-fig-carrot" and "Pineapple-mango-papaya", I cannot even finish them and had to throw away. "Texas maple" was less repulsive (I did finish it) but still not tasty. "Hazelnut coffee" is neutral; while I LOVE coffee, I did not find the whole coffee beans in the energy bar enjoyable. I decided to leave the 5-star rating though, simply because it is my personal preference (someone else may think otherwise) and because I did get the variety pack. Quite honestly, I do not expect to like all flavors when I get variety packs. The remaining flavors were good. I wish I got the "Cherry" bar instead of the "Pineapple-papaya", as I love cherries. But oh well.My personal flavor rating from BEST to worst. If I were to reorder, I would only consider #s 1-4.1. Almond-apricot-vanilla2. Peach-pecan-cinnamon3. Pecan-goji-pistachios4. Hemp-sunflower-pumpkin seed5. Hazelnut-coffee-maca6. Texas maple7. Pineapple-mango-papaya8. Cashew-fig-carrotUnrated. Cherry. Wish it was included...These are really good! I can't stand the granola and oatmeal bars, but these have no oatmeal and are so tasty! They taste like fruit and nuts, not like your typical sugary cardboard oatmeal breakfast bars. The taste is very rich and satisfying. They are expensive, but I guess that's the cost of using the real food ingredients. I will be ordering more.

Best in Class
I've had four of the bars from the variety/sampler box. And I'm ordering more ....I had a bout with a long-term illness not long ago that did a number on my stomach and what food I could tolerate. Much of what's available on the road/on the go makes me ill, at least, makes me feel run down. These are incredibly good to have on hand going out to keep hunger -- and the impulse to satisfy it with something sub-par -- at bay. (In my case, I've become extremely sensitive to MSG in particular.)I've cleaned up my act, but I've logged 40+ years of pizza and cheeseburgers -- and that's the tip of the iceberg. If you're coming from that, you'll want to know first if these taste good, if you'll want to eat them. The answer is "yes." So far, they've all been tasty. What else? The ingredients are non-GMO whole foods -- I mean, real, single-syllable ingredients. This is the real deal. One is enough to take the edge off of hunger, but I'm 6' 1" and 190 lbs and really need two if I'm relying upon these for a late breakfast or lunch.Final word -- I've been refrigerating them and not leaving them to roast in the the sun. I like the consistency/texture, but I'm not sure how well they'd hold up if subjected to high temperatures.Great product!

Nut Shells & Fruit Pits
This product includes nut shells and fruit pits as shown on the Thunderbird box and food bar wrappers. Title 21, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 110.110 allows the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to establish maximum levels of natural or unavoidable defects in foods for human use that present no health hazard. Products found harmful to consumers are subject to regulatory action whether or not they exceed the FDA action levels. Inherent hazards to health from these food bars have been reported by three Amazon customers as described in reviews , Almost cracked a tooth August 23, 2018 ; Small rocks/nut shells. Beware., November 12, 2018; Taste great , be careful December 9, 2018 “a major choking hazard”.The FDA should investigate further to determine the health risk defects found in Thunderbird Food Bars. At this time, I would not purchase this product for young children, elderly adults or others due to the choking hazard and health risks that result from accidentally consuming nut shells and fruit pits.

I love Thunderbird bars
I love Thunderbird bars. They are not like other bars. No cereal and no, only fruit, nuts and natural flavors. You feel satisfied when you eat them. I use them as meal replacements. I’ve given them as gifts now for friends going on a hike or just to try out. Plan to order another case soon! By the way I almost never write reviews so you should know I mean it!

These are great!
I was pleasantly surprised by these. They are similar in texture to an RX bar, but have more crunchy spots, which is more appealing to me, and they're a little less gummy/sticky. The taste is awesome, and they are so clean. The ingredients are real, whole foods, and the bar doesn't sink to the bottom of your belly like a rock. I'll keep these in rotation for sure.
