My Granddaugther loves it
I bought this for my 7 year old granddaughter as a 'just because' gift. According to her mother this is now her favorite book and she reads it by herself so she doesn't have to wait for someone to read it to her. She does, however, read it out loud to the cat.

Wonderful Retelling of the Classic
The legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table has been around for generations, and this version lives up to the reputation of the classics. Perfectly suited to the 9-12 target audience (yet well-written enough to interest adult readers), this chapter book spans the life of Arthur, hits on the most popular legends, delighting young readers who love fantasy and action. Great reinforcement of choosing honesty, loyalty and kindness over deceit, selfishness and cruelty by juxtaposing the honorable Knights against several misguided characters who bring about their own eventual defeat.

Kid tested, mother approved
This book was one of three Bullseye Classics we bought for my son's second grade English class. He picked this one up as soon as the box arrived and had it read within an hour. He loved the stories and was able to re-tell them to his little sister. I hadn't heard the stories about "Big Hands" or "What do women want?" This collection really got his imagination going and he wants to read more about King Arthur. To tell you the truth, I didn't notice the problems with sentence structure, etc...I was enjoying the stories too much.

Another heroic story
This series did not disappoint. My grandson devoured the book the day he got it and has reread it several times. It inspired him to role play knights and kings with his little brother.

Parents and teachers can fine tune grammar skills
My 6 yr old son loves the book and it was a cheap buy. I tell him some of it's not written as we'd write it but that it's a story about a long time ago so they spoke differently and thus are writing differently. Anything that helps my kid practice reading and expands his vocabulary I'm game for. Parents and teachers can fine tune grammar skills.

Short but good
Pretty good for kids 5-7. Has magical elements, comedy, and of course chivalry. Used this for a biography project at school for a who am I game. Worked well
