If it's under $400 it's the most valuable you can get from NVIDIA gpu other than 1660 ti super
got one by september 2022 half a year agowhen it was a little over $40 above MSRP and I knew the pricing drop had slowed down by july, having each month going only 5% down or so, still, by that time for value it was among the top 5 and today only the 1660 ti super, which is super old but "cheap" for post-covid standards, and if you have 1080p monitor with 60 Hz monitor this might be enough depending on your games; the good thing about newer generations is the built in compatibility-decoder-encoder for most video formats and supporting up to 3 monitors although the 8gb might not be enough VRAM for that, and even the 3060 @ 12gb vram and $350 still not as valuable. This card was weird on launch because of the closeness to the 3070 in performance, amid pandemic "prices" where MSRP didnt matter and NVIDIA at least had the decency to fake pricing akin to how they the 2060 ti was launched ($399) with the next tier 2070/3070 being around $500, same 220 watts (like this one) with prices still at MSRP -$10-$20 only. An AMDRX 6700 XT or RX 6750 XT would be far better choice otherwise. MSI software is horrible because of all the bloat and ironically messing with MSI afterburner making it crash when MSI center runs certain modules, so I prefer to avoid it altogether and us openRGB to handle the "mystic lightning" which offers me the same options as the MSI center mystic light thing. I won't probably have any problems with games until I upgrade my monitor to 1440p if anything

Back to Nvidia after 2 AMD cards
Last Nvidia card i had was the GTX 680. After that, 2 AMD cards in a row (RX580 and RX 5700 XT). As most people, i wasn't expecting to upgrade due to current prices, and my 5700xt was holding just fine, however i got a "good" offer on it and decided to buy either a 3060ti or 6700xt at the same price i sold the 5700xt. Due to technologies as DLSS and RT (mainly DLSS), i decided to go for the 3060ti (it also was 30$ cheaper and the 6700xt would arrive at least 1 month later). TBH i'm totally pleased. I haven't tested much games yet (as im only playing LOL atm) but waiting on the 12th to test it with BF2042, my main franchise. I did shortly tested Cyberpunk and RDR2, and in both i was having the same FPS than with the 5700xt (70 average on both at 1080p, 90 with DLSS), but with higher fidelity options (medium/high vs ultra). Regarding temps and noise, its a noticeable improvement over my 5700xt (also MSI Gaming X model). The card is smaller, lighter, temps are at least 10c lower. RGB working without issues when configuring it from MSI center. Only thing i miss is the AMD Radeon Center; the Nvidia panel is still so 2010, they really should kinda update the visuals for it.

Excellent Card
This card is amazing for the price. I've bought several of these to put in multiple builds, they work really well, and match other MSI components well. My only complaint is there is a cosmetic plastic piece on the side of the card that can make it difficult to mount in ITX cases. For instance, I originally bought this card for a Fractal Design Meshify 2 Nano and the thing barely fit with a radiator installed. I was able to move the radiator around to get it to fit, but it was definitely closer than I would've liked it to be. I ended up using this in another build and bought a Zotac 3070 Instead which worked better for that particular build. Also, this thing runs HOT! My Zotac 3070 has much better temperatures and much better performance as expected with a 3070. I'm definitely not faulting the card though because in a well vented case, they work well.

Great for a first card
This was my first ever GPU purchase now that prices have somewhat started to reach decent levels. The card works great with all the games I've played. I'm not too heavy into gaming so I can't say anything about how well it handles hardcore and top-of-the line games. Seems to mesh well with the Adobe suite, and I'll update this review with how well it performs in that regard once I've used it more. The fans are decent. Keeps it cool well enough but it is just a liiittle loud. No clicking or any unwanted noises like that though. Overall a great card. Could still be cheaper though.

IT'S A BIG BOI
RTX 3060 Ti at $490.00 in 2022-09. I love MSI and have always found their cards to strike a great balance between power and efficiency. This one though, my first GPU upgrade since pre-pandemic, is really on the line. It is possible I do not know what I am talking about and that all the cards coming out now are power-hungry behemoths, but based on the fact that I had to dig out auxiliary power cables for my modular (650W) PSU and remove a case fan to get this thing in... I also take issue, as a multi-monitor user, with its weird spread of 1 HDMI + 3 DisplayPort. Maybe that's standard now? I have been living under a COVID-shaped rock. But it works! (Although for some reason it makes the middle DisplayPort the primary monitor...) On the positive side though, the card works just fine for gaming. It's quiet (although I also run MSI Afterburner), runs whatever I throw at it at 1080p without a hiccup, and enables ray tracing which for me is a big upgrade. I really wish the card was a little smaller and used a little less power, but-- I finally got a new video card!

Back on Black Friday 2022, I purchased this item on Sale! It was a SUPER LONG wait, of 3 LONG YEARS...THANK-YOU COVID! I upgraded my MSI AMD Radeon RX 570 Gaming 8Gig GPU for this video card. I bought it especially for one game : Microsoft Flight SIM 2020. There is a massive difference between the 2 GPU's. At $625, I found it a little steep in price as until now the most I had ever spent of one single item was $385 for an Intel i7 7700K processor (a few years ago). For some reason the RGB software keeps popping up a .EXE - ERROR message when ever I'm doing a LIVE Twitch Stream (only). When I play the game NOT no a live stream it's perfectly fine. I have it set to use RED (as my pc's theme is Black with Red) it's also set to Constant + Max Brightness. Other then those 3 little niggly items (for me) its perfect, especially for MSFS 2020! :-D

I upgraded from a 1070 where I've been happily sat in 1080p on a native 2k 144hz 32" monitor and a 28" hz side monitor, running games like COD Warzone in 1080p with all graphics settings turned down just to gain a few extra FPS. The upgrade to a 3060TI is INSANE. The gains are absolutely off the chart, I've ran countless 3d Benchmark tests and also managed to clock the core by 100MHZ, the memory by 600MHZ, and still maintain temps that run in the 60*'s against heavy in-game load given I now run at 2k resolution instead of 1080p. Incredible card for the cost + I'll sell my 1070 White OC edition for £250....

Upgraded from a 1660 ti that used one 8 pin power. This model uses that and an extra 6 pin power that my PSU didnt have available so I had to upgrade my psu as well. Plug and play, no driver issue, plays FO4 4k all maxed out at 55-60 fps. Colors are deeper than ever and not throttling even overclocked. Only downside is I have some tearing on a few games. Some online research told me I'm not the only one experiencing tearing, so hopefully it will be fixed in an upcoming update. Still very pleased with the upgrade!
