Amazing value for the price
I know next to nothing about cleavers altho I do take my kitchen knives seriously. I own a Wusthof, two Victorinox knives, and three honing rods. I opted to go fairly cheap with the cleaver. After weighing this LedgeOn with the Imarku--both 7-inch cleavers--I went with the LedgeON. The LedgeON is a full-tang cleaver that feels well-balanced and easy to use in my hand. I appreciate the curved knife edge of the cleaver--the Amazon photo doesn't show the curved edge--which allows me to rock the cleaver as I chop the food. I find the cleaver sharpens best with my ceramic honing rod (as opposed to my fine cut steel rod. I appreciate the hook hole in the blade which allows me to hang the cleaver off the countertop. I have used the heel of the handle to smash garlic and nuts without any damage to the handle. The cleaver cuts tomatoes easily. The key is a couple of strokes on the Green Elephant ceramic rod before using it. The cleaver holds a sharp edge reasonably well considering the chopping strokes on my bamboo cutting board. Previously, I owned a meat cleaver with a thick but cheap steel blade; it had to be sharpened constantly but would never render a good edge. This LedgeOn is a vast improvement over that meat cleaver. Some specs: the blade width at the spine is 2.75mm. The blade height is approximately 3¼ inches--remember the knife edge of the blade is curved. The weight of the cleaver, weighed on a postal scale, is 12.2 oz. A rating of 4 stars would be a minimum rating; I threw in the 5th star for the high value provided at low cost..UPDATE: 7-16-2020 I'm still using the Ledgeon Cleaver. I find it is best used as a vegetable chopper/slicer. You can use it to cut some chicken bones but the cleaver is too light in weight (12.2 oz) to do it efficiently. Mininum weight for a bone-chopping cleaver is 1.25 lbs, judging from the Amazon offerings. Thus, this cleaver is about 40% too light for bone chopping. The cleaver does sharpen easily to a near razor edge with a ceramic rod, and it holds its edge reasonably well considering the beating it takes on the cutting board. I have a full collection of kitchen knives, and I'm holding on to this cleaver.

Great deal. Please read my review.
I have yet to use this cleaver. It seems well made for medium chopping on things like poultry, pork spare ribs, and heavy vegetables. Should be great on cabbage or turnips where you need a good swing. It is fairly sharp. Probably very sharp for your standards. I never could find a blade that could meet up to my standards. Please note: This is a one hand tool for chopping and the other hand holds the part to be chopped. This cleaver should work great on those extra fingers and thumbs. I ordered the 6" cleaver. It did not come with the hole on the end of the blade to hang it up. Not a big deal for me. I was limited to the size of the blade for my 35 slot Wusthof knife block. My opinion: The blade on the one that I received, the sharpened edge was measured at 6 7/8". Not a bad thing. One thing I would improve is the handle. It should be thicker to hold on to and the knob on the end should be a little larger so it will be less likely to slip out of your hand when your hand gets wet or greasy. Other than that it looks like a great tool to add to your kitchen at a reasonable price.

... and have prepared just one meal) this is an amazing knife for the price
So far (just got it today and have prepared just one meal) this is an amazing knife for the price, love the size, the sharpness, it handles extremely well. It comes in a nice box with a magnetic closure. The blade is just under 7" long and about 3.25" tall from the heel to the spine. Personally I love a tall blade. So I gave it a 4 star rating instead of 5, all due to cosmetics. The ricasso area is irregularly and messily ground and the full tang extends well beyond the handle material in many places. It's rough enough that you feel it constantly. Overall I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again, it just works that well. A lot of bang for the buck! I will update this if my opinion changes.

Better than expected
Bought this as my first clever because well I have good size hand so a normal chef knife i find kinda sketchy to use when going fast. And having used this knife for over 3 months now, it's held up pretty well. The blade held it's edge for a good amount of time, and doesn't have a single spot of rust or discoloration. Also I really like how the wood handle is coated, since that makes cleaning so much easier and will ensure it last longer. Weight is fine, though i'm not the best judge of that since i toss stuff in woks and cast iron pans. As for it's ability to cut, it cut fine through fruit and meat all the way to dense rot veg and a few chicken bones. Though i personally wouldn't use it on anything heavier. So over all it's a good knife, but like i said this is my first clever so maybe it's very ok and thats it. Though so far i'm find it pretty good.
