Get a size bigger top than you think you'll need, and have a 3/32" drill bit ready.
Pros: Sturdy. Easy to assemble, with clear instructions. Parts are of good quality. Easy to raise and lower. Crank handle detaches and can be stored underneath the desk when not in use. Shipped in 2 boxes instead of just 1 big one (one big box would have been too much for me to handle because of my bad back). Lowest height puts the top at 29.5" above the floor which is about the same as most other tables, so if you don't need it as a standing desk anymore you can just use it as a regular table.Cons: The 48" x 30" top is actually 47.25" x 29.5" but that's no big deal for me. But it might matter for some people.Other: Mine had pre-drilled holes in the underside of the top (for attaching the legs), but from reading other reviews (and the instructions themselves) it doesn't look like that's the norm. The instructions describe how to drill the holes if they aren't already there. For that you'll need a 3/32" drill bit and a drill. The bits are only a 1 or 2 dollars at the hardware store and if you don't have a drill ask a friend to borrow one ;) Put tape on the bit to mark how deep you need to go so you don't drill all the way through to the other side. Also, I suggest getting a size bigger tabletop than you think you'll need (if space isn't a big issue). At first i thought I'd be fine with the 24" deep top but at the last moment I changed my order to the 30" and I'm glad I did. 24 would have been too small for me.

Solid construction.
This is my second one, as I was so impressed with the first one. Easy enough to put together. Good size for smaller areas.

One of my best purchases
I feel very happy with this desk. It’s very sturdy. Before placing the order, I saw some comments that the minimum height is too high. But once I assembled it, I found that the minimum height is the standard height of regular desks. If you think it’s too high for you, you should adjust your chair. To adjust the height of this desk, you can plug in the crank to either side. You may not need to change the height very minute, so you can put the crank off and fold it. It’s very easy and convenient, why do you buy an electrical one and worry about the electrical failures? BTW, the color of vintage brown is the best choice for me. This color is very beautiful. It comes with pre-drilled holes. It’s easy to assemble. I purchased the color of dark walnut before, but it didn’t have pre-drilled holes. Hope my comment is helpful for you to make a decision.

works great
This desk is just what I needed; I should have bought it a year ago. It's roomy enough for my laptop stand, keyboard, mouse, notebook, pens, water, etc. but doesn't take up a ton of room. I love the crank to raise and lower bc, honestly, sometimes it's the only exercise I get. Being able to switch easily between standing and sitting has been wonderful. So far it's been very sturdy, and it was easy to assemble. Great value for the money.

Exactly what I needed
The only complaint I have is that instructions are just pictures so definitely pay attention to which way each piece is supposed to face; I had to flip some pieces around that were backwards or upside down, so pay attention to the details of the pictures. Other than that, puttying this together by myself wasn’t too bad, probably accomplished it within about an hour and a half. Overall it’s really sturdy and the crank lifts the whole tabletop evenly. I can already tell how much having a dedicated space will help me when I’m working at home. Just waiting on a more comfy chair!

It's a very sturdy behemoth.
I bought this as a table to put DJ mixing equipment on at home so I can stand or sit as I see fit (unintended rhyme). Call me weird but I was actually really happy to find one that was people-powered - just one less thing in a corner where there are already a lot of cords and knobs and buttons and plus, if anything breaks it's strictly mechanical. I got the light-colored top and despite being as big as it is, the light color keeps it from looking like it takes up too much space.Trust me this table isn't going to go anywhere. It's *heavy* and sturdy. There is no chance of this thing wobbling. I feel safe putting really expensive electronic equipment on it (which, while expensive, doesn't weigh a lot).I'm a 5' 7" 145 pound woman and while carrying it up a flight of stairs was kind of a chore, it wasn't out of the realm of possibility, but I would suggest assembling it near or even AT where you plan on putting it. I would have made my life much harder had I assembled it elsewhere because again, it's HEAVY.Was really easy and didn't take too long to assemble. Two things: instructions make mention of a drill and pilot holes. My tabletop already had pilot holes (thank goodness). Thus, I didn't need a drill, but a rachet screwdriver sure did make the job a lot easier.ALSO - because the directions don't make this super clear, make sure you're installing the crank rod correctly. BOTH ends of the rod extend. Make sure both ends of the rod are seated right and fit into the holes correctly on each side, and adjust the outer tube (it just slides) to the center before tightening. If you DON'T do this, when you attempt to crank the table, only the end you've got the handle in will rise or lower. If you're running into this problem, almost 99.9% positive it's because you don't have the rod installed right. Try again. The crank handle is pretty clumsy, tho, honestly - it just feels really loose and sloppy in the hand - like maybe you put something together wrong there (you didn't). It's really my only complaint about this table. On that note, store it somewhere you'll always be able to find it, lol. I have a little three-drawer stand next to it where the crank handle lives now, because without it you're screwed (first a horrible rhyme and now, a terrible pun).I'm moving next year and my movers are probably going to hate me for this piece of furniture but it was exactly what I needed.

Great Table (+ Assembly Tip)
This table works just as expected and assembly is straightforward, with a little tip:When you assemble the extendable cross bar onto the legs, make sure the tabs on the cross bar are pointed towards the center and are towards the end of the legs instead of towards the middle (easier images to reference later in the manual)My desk didn't have the center 2 holes drilled for those tabs' screws, so I just drilled a shallow 3/32" hole once the legs were screwed to the desk top.Looks good, good value, and easy assembly with that minor adjustment on the one I received.
