Q: will it adhere to a curved area of the seat?

It has a very strong adhesive that will hold. I used mine right in the center of the seat cushion where there is a lot of bending and stretching and it is doing a great job.

Q: does it have a texture to it ??

It feels pretty smooth but if you look real close it has some what of a texture but doesn't stand out
