Great value - these crimpers really work well!

I have a variety of quality crimpers, but needed something for smaller gauge weather- and metri-pack connectors. These are working nicely. The little terminal holder looked cheesy, but has worked surprisingly well for me. Impressed!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:It did a great job for a decent price. It's nice to repair weatherpack connectors the right way.

The crimp on this is excellent at the bare wire part of the terminal, but the part of the terminal that acts as an attachment to the insulation of the wire does not complete. Instead it makes a full perfect circle around the wire that does not touch it, so you have to use pliers to complete this part which is annoying. Also, the guide part works very well but does not attach with the Allen screw - there are no threads in the hole for the screw. The guild stays in place pretty well with the plastic piece alone, but I can't see that it will for very long with repeated removals.

I was pleasantly surprised with how well this tool crimped the connection.

This tool works great! It holds the connector in proper place/orientation to ensure a good crimp. As with all other crimpers, I still had to pre-bend the seal tabs just a bit to fit the crimper. Otherwise the ends will catch and not roll over correctly at the very beginning of the crimp. Tool required minimal assembly, but was very easy. The plastic alignment die will still be able to move a bit after tightening screw. But it’s no big deal.

Did not care for the way it performs both crimps at the same time, poor crimp on the wire seal.
