Worst tasting product
This product tasted like absolute mud, and the bad kind of mud. I drink a lot of “mud” drinks that contain no sweeteners and mushrooms and other earthy flavors and nothing has tasted as bad as this. I tried to cut the flavor by mixing it with another hot cacao mushroom drink and sweetened nut milk but I ended up throwing the entire drink away because the taste of this product is overbearingly terrible.

Bliss is right!
I really love this product. Starting my day off with a tablespoon of this in my almond milk feels so luxurious and healthy. It's delicious and satisfying. Have also used it in my smoothies for just an extra cacao kick. Highly recommend.

Favorite part of my morning routine
My favorite way to start my day is 1TBS of this bliss powder in my coffee. It helps steady the caffeine 'buzz' and noticeably supports energy with a sense of calm. This powder is really great added to smoothies + easy to mix / add to recipes.

Guilt free, creamy textured treat with health benefits
I have been nootropic and adaptogen-curious for a while but didn't know how to start introducing them into my diet. Out of curiosity, I decided to try the JOYÀ Cacao Bliss Adaptogenic Elixir Blend. I have to admit that the "cacao" ingredient made this more appealing to me! The Elixer comes in a brown glass jar. JOYÀ sells refill pouches (the pouches are compostable) for a few dollars cheaper, so you can refill your jar and reduce packaging waste. There are 20 servings per jar. This seems a little expensive but adds up to about $2 a serving...which is less than you would pay if you were going to a chic coffee shop to buy a mug of this. The Elixer is a fine powder that smells divine. The ingredients include cinnamon, cloves, cardamom & nutmeg. You mix 1 Tablespoon of the powder into whatever you want: hot water, milk, smoothies, oatmeal or even coffee. I prefer using almond milk. The powder dissolves more readily in hot or warm liquid. You need to really stir the powder up, or it will form a grit on the bottom. I use a whisk to blend the Elixer. The Elixer is unsweetened, so I sometimes add a drizzle of honey. The consistency of Elixer is incredibly rich and creamy and is delightful to sip.I wondered if some of the ingredients (reishi mushroom, maca, & He Shou Wu) that make the Elixer have an earthy or bitter taste. I was surprised to discover no unpleasant taste or textures. The ingredient list on this Elixer is interesting. Some of the ingredients have been used in Chinese medicine for thousands of years. The reishi mushroom is thought to have immune-boosting and cancer-fighting health benefits. Maca root is supposed to increase libido and may relieve some of the symptoms of menopause. He Shou Wu has used for centuries in Traditional Chinese Medicine to promote longevity. JOYÀ makes no medical claims about their products, other than that it may have a calming effect on your mood and boost your immune system. As a person who tends to feel anxious, I have noticed I feel calmer and more focused. It could be that enjoying a cup of JOYÀ Bliss is a pleasurable ritual that helps me relax, but I also do wonder if this is the adaptogenic effect. Whatever it is, I like it!

Cacao drink mix with decent ingredients, but not much flavor
This Cacao Bliss Adaptogenic Elixir Blend from Joya isn't quite what I expected. The jar arrived to me fine, it's a glass jar, and it was wrapped in bubble-wrap. The label on the jar lists all of the ingredients, directions for use, and also some notes about this drink mix powder being good for fighting free radicals, helping with relaxation. On the supplement facts potion of the label, it lists a serving as 8g. Of that, 3.2g of it is a, "Proprietary Elixir Blend" that contains Maca Root Powder, Mucuna Pruriens extract, Reishi Mushroom extract, and Fo-Ti root extract. There is also 2.9g of Cocoa Bean Powder per serving. The other ingredients are things such as Ginger Cinnamon, Himalayan salt, etc.The directions read to mix 1 scoop (8g) with 8-10oz of water or Dairy or Plant-based "milk". I weighed out 8g of the powder, and mixed it with hot water. I did notice when I opened the jar that there is a bit of a ginger aroma, so, I was expecting something similar to that... well, the taste of the mixed drink is very bland, there isn't much flavor to it. Some of the spices come through, though for the most part, it's as though I am drinking water, there isn't much taste to this, at all.As a drink mix, it's not all that great, being that there isn't any flavor to it. Many of the ingredients are decent, so I'll probably just scoop this into my morning smoothie/shake until the jar is gone. At the current price, though, it's a bit much for a drink mix that doesn't really taste like anything.
