I’m really impressed on first use of this cleaner. Having assembled and fully charged it, I spent just a couple of minutes running it over my carpet and around the furniture. It’s a pleasure to use. It’s fairly quiet and it effortlessly goes exactly where it’s steered. It’s better to use with it’s weight low down than stick type vacuums. Then I was amazed to find that even after such short use, it had collected half a container of dog hair that had been invisible on a carpet that had been cleaned with a powerful mains vacuum just the previous day. Both had equally good suction so this must be due to the Sharks motorised head picking up what a plain suction head had not. All of the other ways of using this cleaner also function well. Handheld use with the motor in one hand or otherwise supported and just the lightweight head in the other, is particularly good. My only reservation is that while it all appears well designed and well constructed, this versatility requires a number of plastic interlocking parts to continue clipping perfectly together and making good electrical connections. This will all need to stand up well to frequent use. People’s needs can differ, but I think the battery will last long enough between recharges for all the quick or partial clean ups I want this for. So this cleaner gives a great first impression and appears good value even for its above average cost. I’m really pleased to have chosen it over other types. Only time will tell if any snags appear, especially regarding it’s trouble-free longevity.

I have always loathed vacuuming.. until now. Had powerful compact corded Miele vacuums before and was dubious about buying a cordless. So far this Shark ICZ300UKT model has exceeded expectations. It seems to get the carpets much cleaner as has different method of removing dust and grit etc. It is more versatile and easier to manoeuvre than our compact corded Miele. Lack of a cord makes using so much simpler. The battery at the moment lasts well, we do have mainly had floors though. Can always order second battery. Actions to dismantle and reconnect to reconfigure from upright to wand to portable are well designed making it very easy and buttons clearly indicated. It is well balanced in use as an upright also when you stop to move furniture or when storing. The fact it needs emptying regularly just seems to add to the satisfaction as you see how much it is picking up! Portable mode is genius design and makes stairs and upholstery cleaning very easy as it is so light. If you are debating whether to switch from a corded or which cordless model to go for we can thoroughly recommend this one. Bought when on offer at £329. Prices seem to go up and down regularly.

Great cleaner much better than our old cordless solid sturdy design great suction battery life is around 45 mins, filets are fully washable. Only 4/5 as it would have been good to supply with an additional battery

Upgraded our old Shark - didn’t realise how bad our old one was until we got the new one. The boost is excellent, the compensation being that the battery runs down quickly but we use for long pile carpet and switch back to normal mode for normal carpet or hard floor so can get the whole house done on one charge. Downside is it doesn’t have the edge brushes like the old one. However being cordless is so liberating and it stands unlike the stick versions, freestanding cordless are really hard to come by. I want to be able to stop and start as needed, not have to lie it down or prop it up. The anti hair wrap technology has certainly been so much better than our traditional shark, which has to have a hair cut every week or two. We purchased the on board tool holder separately so can carry 2 tools with the hoover, and we also bought the car kit. Really happy with the full experience.

very good had one the same for last 6 years, The battery is nearly the same but does not fit in from the old one . But the new battery will fit in the old vacuum , The batteries do run down like any battery does after many hundreds of charges, But still very good vacuum.

Does a great job is light and manageable

Absolutely not fit for purpose,had to buy second battery as one does not hold sufficient charge to do the job.The pipes are too small and constantly block up,with the slightest fluff! Constantly feel the urge to throw it through a window! Wish I'd stuck with my g tech!

Disappointed with this purchase. I’ve used the vacuum for just over a year and it’s been poor user experience. The battery life on full power lasts around 10-15 minutes. The dust collection area constantly gets clogged up and needs to be cleaned. The hose is very rigid, which makes it hard to get to awkward spots in the house when in detached mode. The pick up strength even on max is pretty weak. A waist of money in my opinion.
