OUTSMARTED! The Live Family Quiz Show Board Game | Ages 8+ | For 2 to 24 Players (Ultra Edition)

I bought this game for my husbands Christmas. I bought the Ultra Edition so the little characters are painted. There isn’t a great deal in the box which is fab cos it doesn’t take ages to set up. You basically download the app, put in your license key and set up your players on the app. Once that’s done, open the board, select your character and you are good to go. What I LOVE about this game is the fact I can play with husband and my 2 sons (15 and 5). There is an adult selection, teen selection and junior. It does say 8+ but my 5 year old managed fine. We gave my son 10 of the 50/50 options to give him some help but he didn’t use them all the time. We only gave ourselves 1 of the 50/50 but you can set this up and adapt it to suit your family.The questions are great. Fantastic selection. We have played 6/7 times and haven’t had a duplicated question yet!I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this game! Amazing! Thank you Outsmarted!

Such a great and refreshing take on a quiz game. With the amount of extra questions available and at such a great price and they even have regular sales on their bundles. The base game though is more than enough and the whole family like picking and choosing different topics. It’s so good.

Very good - cross between Trivial pursuit and who wants to be a millionaire. Online is very good - breaking news questions are genuinely breaking news (had one that was 3 days old!)It had a rough Christmas with server issues - pretty sure they will learn their lesson on that - and many got upset. I accept their point, but being an online gamer, I have patience with online entertainment. But you should know that if they have a server issue, you cant play.But that online feature adds much more than it takes away - ability for people to play remotely is awesome and we used it, with one team playing over 200 miles away!They need to get the question store sorted out, improve the Windows app (Apple and Android are very good, windows app is a little buggy) and then commit to support this version for "n" years. That is a valid concern (that they could shut the servers down and you can no longer play) - however I don't think that will happen. It wont last as long as my Risk board game I've had for almost 40 years, but Im sure it wont be going anywhere anytime soon.

Brought this for my partner Sylvia as a present after seeing an online ad. Probably one of the best board games we own, we found it really easy to set up and its really quick and easy to get a game started.The kids (9 and14) love it, they especially like having the different age categories for the different players and we haven't yet had a repeated question. Choosing the game length is another great feature ( you can fit in a quick 30 min game or a full length if you have the time). There is also the option to add further question packs for just a couple of pounds which will keep the game fresh of a long time. We strongly recommend this for lovers of board game.

Best game ever!!Interactive current and a great game where ever you are.Family and friend game nights anywhere in the world. We often play the game with family with us in three countries at the same time!!If you want to buy one game this year 100% highly recommend

I bought this game thinking that as the questions will be bang up to date and I can set the age of the players so they get age appropriate questions so it would be a good investment. Plus the ability to play on your phone/tablet each was another bonus.So Christmas Day and we decided to give it a try. Didn't take long to set up (there is a code in the box to get the full game on your phone/etc) and the game was easy to follow. You can choose 'full game' '30 minutes' '60 minutes' or '90 minutes' play time. We opted for 30 and so that we could get use to it. It was enjoyed by all except our 18 year old who declared it boring!So later in the evening we decided to try again with a longer game. However, this is where the game let itself down. The app didn't work. Now a game that comes with no questions are you rely on the app to be able to play means that when the app goes down the game is useless.We tried numerous devices, waited 30 mins then an hour, but still no change. So we had to leave it and hope that it worked the next day. Boxing Day morning it didn't work but by the afternoon it was working again, but was a little slow and 2 of the devices crashed and they had to log back in. It also had forgotten the registration details so make sure you don't throw the code that comes with the game out.Looking back had I thought about it properly I probably wouldn't have purchased the game given that you have to rely on technology and their Twitter help hasn't been running since Feb this year. We have the game now, not sure how often it will come out or if it will work when we want to play. Nice idea but poorly executed by the developers.

At first i did think that it was a bit too much having to add all the players/teams into the game app however once i started adding players i soon realised it didn't take too long and you only have to add everyone once.Playing the game i found to be so much fun for all ages. I love the fact that it tailors the questions to children, teenagers and adults so it makes a game that anyone of any age can win and boy do the kids enjoy beating us adults.I also love the fact that you can remotely play the game without the board through the app with other people in a different household by asking them to log in with a unique game code, we have been playing it with members of our family from different households.To sum up it is definitely a family game i would recommend, so much fun and you can also limit the game time to 30, 60 or 90 minute plays which is a bonus.
