Converted from 2x10. Bought the 32 tooth ring and not missing the previous setup at all. I seem to have all the gears I need in a 1x10 setup and it looks a lot cleaner too. Right now I have a 11-36 cassette but may decide to purchase an 11-42 cassette in the future. I haven't ridden any off road trails yet because I've yet to find a trail here that isn't steep as hell. I was going to buy a better well known brand of chain ring but I decided to get this just to try it out since this is my first 1x10 setup and dint want to spend an arm and a leg to try it out. This ring seems pretty sturdy and haven't dropped a chain yet, though I don't ride anything crazy and I have an XT shadow plus derailleur which helps chain retention. It also looks pretty good on my bike. May buy another for my wife's bike. I would definitely recommend for someone who wants to try out a 1x10 without spending too much.

I need to get out on the trail to really test and review properly, but the few times I have had the bike out in the neighborhood it rides well, and the workmanship is good.I am by no means a serious/competitive cyclist but I wanted to reassure any skeptics; if you are curious to try an elliptical chaining, this one didn't disappoint me. If you are a more serious rider, by all means spend more of your money on a more expensive ring from a reputable brand. But if you are a casual rider like me and want a taste of elliptical rings, give it a try.I will write another review once I have put some more miles on it.

I’ve purchased 15-20 of these over the years and they’re every bit as good as anything from Raceface. I typically put them on friends bikes who are on a tight budget. I’m a bit of a brand snob myself and currently run Sram Eagle components on my bikes so I know the difference between good and cheap junk. These keep your chain from dropping and do their job just as well as anything.

I can't notice the difference between the oval (32T) and regular (32T), but maybe that's just me. To fit it on my Race Face cranks (originally 2x) I had to dremel the inside of the the ring mounts, which was a pain but doable. I have ridden it in Sedona AZ three times already and haven't dropped a chain. Overall seems to be good and way cheaper option if you want to try out an oval ring.

I have really enjoyed this chainring. The clocking issue I've read about has not hindered me at all. I can't even tell it's oval while riding. It's a lower gear than I had before so it's been a help for sure. I've noticed an improvement my first ride with it. Mostly because of the gearing. So..the clocking issue is not an issue with me. I don't want to spend any more when this one is doing so well for me. With the 32, I didn't even have to remove the crank to install it. I love it!

This chainring is very light and narrow wide teeth pattern indeed keeps the chain from dropping. Tested it for about 100 miles and hasn't failed yet!Good value, great product.Only downside I faced was my crank arm wasn't compatible, I had to file it a little for it to fit perfectly.ThanksUtsav

This is a tougher review, The ring looks the bomb, I haven't had time on it yet to test the oval shape I will test that today, The only thing I didn't like was having to file the mounting tabs and holes to have it fit my Race Face cranks, For the price it is still fine, but if your not able or willing to make it fit if it doesn't out of the box maybe you should look for a bigger name for a bit more money,, The item came quickly and the packaging was appropriate.
