Absolutely works as advertised! You apply it with what is a bit like lipstick in consistency, and it is quite vibrant, even on my medium-brown hair. Much better than regular chalk I have tried before. It didn't come off of my hair in my hands at all, though I didn't try to test that claim too much. It also washes out completely in the first shower, no hint of green after that if you are worried about work the next day. I would absolutely recommend this stuff!

I bought this to use for my 1 yr old... his daycare was having a Dr.Seuss week, and one day's theme was "crazy hair"... his hair is fine, though dark.The chalk worked great!!! I had to apply a few layers to get a deep color, and it did look like he had hair gel in, but I made a great stripy pattern with this an the purple.I knocked it down a star because I couldn't get my own hair (short, thick, brown) to color at all; I will admit I didn't try VERY hard, but baby's hair was super easy!Please indicate if this review was helpful for you. Work well even on dark hair, but not on thin hair. The bad news is that clothes and sofa were green too, even by the end of party (doesn't dry as said) but the good news is that it's easy to remove! It did the trick anyways.

This is a great product! It's kind of like a giant crayon. It goes on super easy with pretty much no mess because you don't have to worry about liquid color dripping on your clothes or the floor or your bathroom counter. And it washed out very easily with just one regular shampooing. Definitely recommend for a fun and easy hair color.

I bought this to color my six year old daughter's hair for Halloween. She has very dark brown hair and many reviews said it worked on dark hair and washed out easily. It, however, did not show up well without using a lot of it on one spot. I barely got through one layer of her hair and used up the whole stick...and that's when I realized it left a sticky residue that wasn't drying up and made it completely unmanageable. I couldn't take brush through it at all without it tangling somewhere else. We washed it out immediately. Most regretted purchase ever on Amazon.

I wouldn’t consider this a chalk, it’s more like a wax. Looks very unnatural and is hard to apply. Makes your hair look wet or oily. Don’t recommend

Awesome! The color was very vibrant and it stayed on all day. It didn't get on my clothes and it didn't flake off at all.. It does make your hair a little stiff, but not bad.. Like hair spray would...It came off completely with one longish shower.I definitely recommend it.

Easy to use. It’s small, so covers a small amount at a time. But perfect for my three year old when we dresses him as bettlejuice.
