This aquatic belt is wonderful. I have never been comfortable in deep water
This aquatic belt is wonderful. I have never been comfortable in deep water. I can swim but after my stroke last year I worry about being strong enough in the deep end of the pool. I ordered this after researching different types of things to help me in deep water. I have gained some weight due to inactivity after the stoke and was worried about something fitting and being able to hold me up. I ordered it and couldn't wait to try it out. Now I love being in the deep end of the pool. The size is adjustable. My skinny 12 year old granddaughter had worn it - it fit her and then I just easily adjust it for myself. It seems to be made of very durable material. The floats can be moved around the belt for comfort. You can add or remove floats to fit your level of activity. One belt and floats held me up without problem (I am not going to state my weight, but trust me, its up there much higher than I would like to admit). I ordered a second belt so I could add and subtract float to fit whatever activity I want. My friend (we are in our late 50's and 60's) are going to take water aerobics this winter and they are looking into ordering a floatation belt. I don't leave outside and make sure to hang it to dry after use. The only activity I found I enjoy after the stokes are swimming with this belt. Thank you for making my life better at a time when I really needed it.

Good swimming aid, could use some design improvements
This is a good swimming aid, but it definitely will not keep you floating unless you do some work yourself. I'm not very good at swimming, and this helps me get into lakes and water without fear, but you definitely need to do some work! (I'm 118 lbs)Giving it 4 stars because the foam does tear. I've glued mine back together, but beware that you have to be very careful using this because the foam blocks closest to the buckles will tear from tightening this around your waist.

Broke twice while my four year old was swimming
I bought this swimming aid/floatie about 2 months ago for my son. He starts to swim by his own, has taken many swimming lessons, but is not strong enough yet to float and swim by himself. Therefore, i bought those to help him stay at the surface of the water. I bought your brand because i trusted the name. There were many different options, but Tyr being a good brand name, i thought they would be of good quality.About a month after i bought the floatie, my son was swimming with it (there were 3 black foams on it, he didn't need the other ones) and suddenly, while swimming calmly, one of the black foams broke off. It's a good thing i had an eye on my son, because otherwise he could've drowned. I had to rush to go help him.Yesterday, about a month later the first incident, he was wearing this same floatie belt and had two black foams on. Once again, while swimming calmly, one of the black foam broke off. Once again, i had to rush to go help my son, or he could've drowned. The product was not misused and actually barely used: we used it about 4 times in a two months period. I am very worried by the poor quality of this product. I'm disappointed, and extremely worried a child will drown one day because of this swimming belt and poor attention of his guardians.

Exactly what I wanted it to be
I wanted just a light level of buoyancy assistance, to make hanging around in the lake something where I didn’t need to be actively treading water so I could stay out even longer. But I didn’t want a lot of lifting up (I want to be IN the water) or anything bulky. I started looking for something like this belt when I thought wouldn’t it be cool to have a floatation noodle that I could wrap around my torso and have it clip there in a loop? But this is way better than that.Easy to adjust. I am plus size, densely built, waist around 45” and weight probably around 240 lbs. There was room in the belt for it to go bigger if I had needed it to. It was easy to forget it was on, and it did not impede swimming at all (I wasn’t trying to do laps or anything with it on). It turned out to be useful when I needed to help wrangling a boat hook to a buoy in choppier water, not having to use my arms as much to stay upright and stable.

Works great but floatation bricks tear!
Bought the belt for my grandson’s swimming lessons, because they were the brand his swim instructor uses. When we got them we noticed after one use the bricks started to show tears where the belt loops through. I returned it for a replacement but same problem occurred. I looked at the one his instructor uses everyday with his pupils and saw no tears. But I did notice that design of the bricks had changed. I called the manufacturer, they were fantastic. The best customer service I have ever experienced. Unfortunately the design had changed. The new design weakened the brick and they will tear. The manufacturer found some of the older design and sent them to me. But the problem still exists in the inventory Amazon has.

I love this belt!
I am short waisted and my circumference is smaller than most. Traditional flotation belts are just too big for me. With this belt, I put two ovals in the front and the rest in the back. Doesn’t get in the way of my arms and doesn’t pop up in the back.

Nice
Makes me feel safer in water with waist floatation device for swimming m. Need to put it on tight as it will slide up a bit. Good to use if you are not a natural floater.
