these slats saved the day!
so I ordered a bed from Wayfair and they cancelled 1 of the 3 boxes that held the parts of the bed. of course the one they cancelled was the headboard which just happened to contain the slats. so I’ve slept on the floor for over a month and then saw that they pushed back the date that it will be in stock again by another 6 weeks. so I decided to look for slats here. (Btw, I also tried the IKEA slats and they did not work.) so these actually arrived yesterday (3/26/2022) 2 days sooner than originally scheduled. I have a queen sized bed/mattress & the measurements of the slats were 1/2 inch shorter than I’d have wanted so it was a risk to order. But I was desperate at this point. once I opened up the slats I realized I’ll have to drill extra holes down the middle of 3 slats to screw it together with the center support beam that came with my bed. Thankfully I have a drill and all the correct components to do that. Also, that 1/2 inch difference meant I had to drill my own holes closer to the edges of the slats so that it could line up better with the side boards. It actually all worked out well. The screws I used were the ones that came with my bed. But they were screws you probably already have at home or can get for cheap at Home Depot. Anyway, after I put it all together it seemed really sturdy. I slept on it last night and it was such a nice experience to be back up high on the bed and also made my room look better. I just moved into this apartment mid Feb and it was the last thing I needed to make it feel like home. So that’s why I give it 5 stars! Only disclaimer I’ll give is that the wood for a couple of the slats weren’t as smooth so just be careful with handling it without gloves to prevent splinters.

Perfect to turn my bed frame into a platform bed
These slats turned my bed frame into a platform bed perfectly and are super strong support for the hybrid Memory Foam mattress.

Cheap Wood, Terrible Assembly, Bad Product
I have been looking at several similar products, and with so many great reviews for this one, I thought this would be the perfect fix for my sagging mattress. In taking out the item from the box, you could immediately see where the wood was splintered and jagged, which would have caught either on the mattress or the bed frame. The fabric holding the wood slats together was thin and cheap, providing no support and was spaced unevenly along the boards. There was no way to keep the base in place, meaning the mattress slid easily off the wood and I was having to fix the slats after a 5 minute test. I'm incredibly frustrated that I spent more than $70 on such a cheap and faulty product, something that I would have been able to buy the materials and build a better version myself for half of the price.

It's pretty nice!
I was a bit confused when it arrived because it doesn't really look like the pictures. I thought maybe the gray fabric was just a protective cover for shipping, but when i looked closer the fabric had stitching seams in between the boards, so i guess it's supposed to stay there? It also isn't completely true to size (you can see that empty gap in the back) and it had a singular splinter sticking out of the fabric. But so far i'm not regretting this purchase at all, i brought these slats for some extra support in my loft bed because the metal ones in the bed would bow everytime i would climb in. But once i installed these, there was no bowing at all, it seems like it distributed the weight equally on all the slats. I got the heavy duty ones and they're pretty thick and feel like good quality (though i can't say much about how they look through the fabric, lol). It was super easy to just slide under the mattress. A bit pricey for $66, but overall, i'm happy with it!

perfect - just wish there were more size/length options
I have a slat bed we purchased in 1987. some slats broke and I thought i needed to make my own. I was extremely happy to find these on amazon. because my existing bed is a queen, i purchased the twin size and cut the length to the size we needed. it was relatively easy to cut, and the bed is more sturdy now then it was with the original slats. these slats are very sturdy and i highly recommend this if you have a slat bed with broken slats. another use for them would be in bed in a van. just need railings and put these slats inside the railings.

Rough, needs sanding, jagged knots
These slats seem reasonably sturdy, and unlike some other reviewers, ours seemed cut correctly to fit a standard queen frame. A few had cracks in them, though I don't think very structurally compromising. But a lot of them were rough, and some of the knots were empty and jagged, to the point where I was a little worried about putting our mattress on them. Some sanding sorted that out. But for nearly $100 for a small pile of lumber, I would've thought that this would be finished a bit better.Definitely glad we have a center brace for a queen size - I wouldn't expect these to hold up on the bigger sizes without some sort of center bracing.Be aware that the gaps between slats are ~3.5", which is a bit wider than is recommended by some foam mattress companies. It's fine. Not very good, not terrible, not an amazing deal by any stretch. If I was buying again, I might just go to Home Depot and get some 1x4's cut to length, and some ribbon, and staple gun them together - that's basically what this is.

Reliable yes
This is a really great idea for your bed . No assembly needed ready to go out of the box . It has a little bit of weight to it seems to be pretty sturdy and supports my mattress well, fit with easy and not a bad price for good sleep.

Perfect
Exactly what I needed. I have an antique bedframe and the springs are built in. They give in a little too much under my weight. I put this down over the bedframe/springs and then put my mattress back down. Voila! I am actually laying perfectly flat for the first time in years!P.S. Make sure you pay attention to whether you need/buy the vertical or horizontal slats.
