Great for storing you retro roms.

This item is great. The plastic molding, the texture, the printing of ink, and the label sticker are all top quality. This is definitely not an item manufactured by cheap equipment. This is definitely comparable to anything made by a large and very rich company such as Nintendo. The problem you need to watch out for is Amazon shipping. The box this item comes in is also part of this items value, as this item is a collector's item in my opinion, but also the box itself is very nice and of high quality with good printing. I specifically ordered this item along with a few others to ensure they would be packaged in a cardboard shipping box, but lo and behold Amazon shipped this item separately and it arrived in a bubble wrap paper packet. And the packaging for this item became crushed on one side. Very disappointing. Of course Amazon doesn't seem to value the packaging for this item and figures it's okay to just ship a nicely printed collectors box like this inside of a paper bag. But whatever. I don't want to part with this item in order to return it and take my chances on receiving another one. It's far too much of a hassle and a waste of time!

I love the retro look of this. I initially bought the NESPI4 kit, which comes with the gray cartridge, but I wanted to get the gold cartridge for it too. When I saw this setup, I knew I had to get it. All you have to do is place your own 2.5 SSD in the cartridge, screw the cartridge together, plug the cartridge into the case, and use the included cable to connect the case to the PC. Once you format and configure the drive, you're off and running. I'm using a Samsung 500GB 2.5 SSD, and it fits perfectly in the cartridge. The fact that the case is a SATA to USB adapter makes it very convenient to read from/write to the SSD in each cartridge. I'm considering buying another one to use at work as an external drive.
