iPad for Dummies

Have really gotten my money out of my very own "For Dummies" book-"iPad for Dummies"! Written and illustrated to a level that can be easily understood by users fron brand new to intermediate. Have turned to it over and over with simple and more complex questions. This is my second iPad and I did not have the assistance from this Dummies book. With my first iPad I felt I had a very nice but expensive card game. With the "iPad for Dummies" I have been able to fully use the device more to its potential.

I like to be able to click on the URL references and go straight there, instead of having to type them all in manually. I also like to search for whatever I am looking for instead of having to go to the table of contents or index. But sometimes there is no substitute for the book so you don't have to keep swapping screens. That is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars. (I also got 3 free ebooks from Kindle.)

I found this book to be extremely helpful. It covered just about anything you would want to know, and was written in an easy to understand manner. Between this and the Apple iPad User Guide (available online for free), you can learn to use an iPad very well without any previous knowledge whatsoever, as was my case.

Learned a lot and still learning every day. I would definitely recommend this book to new iPad Air users. I was talking to an apple tech about something and I mentioned just receiving this book and how much I was learning and She said she would definitely recommend it now to people asking about a book to learn from.

Since Apple can't be bothered to publish a decent instruction manual because they can't make money fast enough by doing so, many thanks to the "Dummies" authors for making this available. I've not gotten that far into the book yet and am finding it very helpful already.

I bought one as a joke for my technically challenged friend. I read a bit and learned something new, so I bought a second one for her.So, I liked it enough to keep one for me. Mostly, I don't like the "Dummy" books that I've purchased, but this one might be the exception. I do have another iPad book, but I like this one better.

iPad for Dummies....I just bought an iPad and....I'm a Dummy. It's a perfect adjunct to my new equipment. I can follow it step by step and get everything done. Error? Go back to the starting point of the function in the book . Love it.

I, too, found this book to be a lot of technical info. I just could not get past my password. I finally had to take it to an Apple store and there they could not help me until I could give them info from my desktop computer. Kept asking me for my Microsoft password which I did not even realize that I had. Still working on how to get into and out of situations. I will keep trying as I find time to read the book. Not everybody has time to sit and read a book of instructions like this. I also found that I had to go to several different areas to find my answer.
