My 4-year-old son loves trains and Chuggington and has had a ton of fun with this train over the last week. It is a bit bigger than the standard track trains that you see from Thomas and the other Chuggington trains which make these feel a bit more special. My son can play with it like a train but also love these added features with the crane, the cart and the net which is fun. The plastic is good quality - not super cheap. The net thrower/launcher isn't like a nerf launcher, but easy enough to pop it out for some added fun. It doesn't launch it across the room - which for moms is nice. My younger son - a nontrain lover - even likes to play with it but does have a hard time using his fingers to pop open the sides but my 4-year-old has no issues. I'm going to grab the others for Christmas to complete the set before they're all gone.

I ordered this as one of my 7-year-olds Christmas presents, and he loved it. It transforms a little bit in two ways. You press a tiny button to get the gray piece to shoot out and it actually flies out pretty good. You do have to push it in a little bit hard, and when I first did it I thought I was going to break it and realize it was just fine. My son is still playing with it and it seems to be well made. I'll have to hide it for a few months where he'll forget about it once he's bored with it and then it will be like Christmas all over again. That's a trick my own mother told me about and it works!

This is a durable well made Chuggington Rescue Wilson. It is made to last, with a piece of web that shoots out. It is a rescue train with neat feature to save others and come to the rescue, and the top pops open. Fan of Chuggington or not, kids love to rescue other toys in destress, and so this brings them hours of enjoyment. The trailer does detach from the main engine so two kids can easily share as well. No batteries required so it's great to have to replace them. Overall a great toy, but some may find it too tiny. The main engine measures at about 5 inches long, so it is small, but perfect for small kids. Makes a great gift for fans or not.
