Sugru I001052 Home Hacks Kit, Black, White, Grey, Red

The Sugru home-hacks pack has 4 colours of putty in a small tin. You get a red, grey, black and white. There is a booklet with the kit with suggestions of clever hack type projects. Things like hooks and cable keepers. They all look very professionally done in the pictures. I was interested to try and see if I can make my micro SD cards easier to get out of the slot of my tablet which doesnt have a spring ejector and means using tweezers. It took a bit of fiddling but I managed to make a little flat handle and pressed the word TAB into the end. This does fit in the tablet slot and allows me to just pull it out by the 'handle' with my fingers (YAY) :) I shall be making some handles for the larger SD cards too to make them easier to get in and out of the 3D printer which also has no spring eject and it is quite hard to feel where the card is located as its at the back out of sight. The putty is kneadable and can be smoothed if you make the surface wet. The packets dont hold very much putty but this stuff is strong, flexy and waterproof. You have a 30 minute working time so take any opened stuff you arent using and wrap it tightly in foil.. I also made letters to show which plug was for which Kitchen appliance. These were also made using the Red. They show up well and take away the guess work when there are a lot of plugs. Because they are slightly raised, they could also be used for people with poor sight to feel the letters to help them know they have plugged the right appliance in. You could make braille dots with any colour of course if the person reads Braille and that could make life easier in various situations....marking the controls on gadgets, identifying the on/off state of power switches. You can make hooks for hanging Kitchen implements (maximum 2 KG) and things to hold up tablets and phones. They suggest waiting for the sugru to properly cure before hanging things that would matter if they fell and then testing cautiously before trusting 100% to the new hooks. At first this seems pricey stuff but once you have enhanced a couple of things or changed them to work for you, the cost seems more resonable.

I got this moldable glue to try to fix the corner of a laminated table top. It worked great! I have since used it repair ceramics. As stated, you work with it fairly quickly and then let it set up. It dries super hard. I'm sure I will be thinking up all kinds of ways to put this product to work!

Useless. Silly projects

Dieser Allzweckkleber ist mit den Fingern formbar und klebt dabei nicht an den Fingern. Nach dem Aushärten, welches ca. einen Tag dauert, kann das repariert Teil von belastet werden und ist sogar wasserbeständig. Dies habe ich mir zu Nutze gemacht, als ich einen Tunnel im Aquarium damit repariert habe. Dieser war an einer Stelle abgebrochen und ich konnte diese Reparatur einfach mit diesem Allzweckkleber durchführen. Es hält jetzt schon fast 4 Wochen und es sieht so aus, als wenn es auch dabei bleiben würde. Mir scheint dieser Kleber zwar etwas teurer zu sein, aber dafür ist er auch vielfältiger einsetzbar. Aus diesem Grund werde ich den Kleber auch weiter nutzen und gebe ihm 5 Sterne.

I just bought this from Germany b/c it wasn't available in the US. Paid extra shipping and received one that says' USE BY 07/2023' It's December 2023. I want my money back.
