Great watch solid

I picked up this Stührling chrono a few weeks ago, and I’ve been wearing it almost daily since. Right out of the box, it looks sharp—clean dial, solid stainless steel bracelet, and a nice weight that feels premium without being bulky. The chronograph subdials are easy to read and actually useful, especially when I’m timing workouts or cooking. What really surprised me is how comfortable it is. The bracelet adjusts easily, and the clasp feels secure. I’ve even worn it in the rain and during a quick swim—no issues at all. The screw-down crown gives it that extra bit of durability, and the water resistance is a nice bonus. It’s not a luxury watch, but for the price, it punches way above its weight. Stylish, functional, and reliable—exactly what I was looking for.

The watch is objectively pretty, obvious similarity with a well known Swiss brand. I had (wrongfully) assumed the large second hand would be the chronograph function and would sweep (based on another review I read.) The main second hand on the center post ticks away like a normal 3 hand quartz watch. The “chronograph” but actually timer dial is the subdial at 6 o’clock, making it hardly legible/functional as a true chronograph.

This watch looks and feels good.

The watch is a little smaller on the face. Quality is great. I liked that I had to size to fit my wrist. I would of liked it bigger on the face side. It shines great. I would give it a 3.5 but they don't have a 1/2 star.

This is a classy sport-chronograph watch that looks way more expensive than it is. It has a quartz movement, a sweep second hand and 3 sub-dials for hour, minute and second, along with a date window. The dial is a dark blue - almost black at first glance, but it has a blue sheen depending on how the light strikes it. The hour and minute hands are luminous. The case and band are stainless steel, with the case and bezel polished and the band being a mix of brushed and polished stainless. The clasp is a butterfly, with a button release and lock. Interestingly, I have an identical watch with a black dial, which failed when the battery was replaced. I have no idea what happened, since the battery was fully charged and doubled checked, but after replacement the watch stopped working. I liked that watch so much, however, that I immediately ordered this one. This is a striking watch with a quality movement, and it makes a nice accessory to either casual or dress wear.

The ‘quick date change’ mechanism did not work from the outset. The watch was not quite as per the photo.

I have had this watch for a while now- it is a replacement for the same (ish) model. My original is the same designation, but this watch body is slightly larger and the watchband is not as solid as the original. I was slightly disappointed in this. The watch has worked well, and the buttons are still working and moving smoothly. However, the date adjustment thru the crown has stopped working, and I have to cycle thru the clock face to advance on months with only 30 days. This is NOT the quality of my original watch of this model... I like it, but I loved my old one, which basically gave up due to extreme age and a hard life.
