Sweet!
This was the finishing touch to the sound system in my 2008 F150. It started with a Sony WX900BT receiver. I replaced the stock speakers in back with 2 Kicker KSC680's, and the front speaker's were replaced by 2 Alpine SPS-517's. Also added a Kicker powered 8" enclosed subwoofer in the back. I have a JVC 800 watt 4 channel amp for the front and rear speakers, and added a JVC 400 watt 2 channel amp to power these tweeters. I used a splitter to the front channel of the 800 watt amp so I could get the power I wanted from the 400 watt amp for the tweeters. I didn't want to run my front speakers and tweeters both on the front channel of the 800 watt amp. This is the best sounding system I have ever had in any vehicle I have ever owned. I may be boasting a bit but it was a pain in butt to get it like I wanted it, and I'm glad it's finally done.It took a while to get the speaker wire fished through the boots in the front doors. After that, not so bad. My truck didn't have tweeters but behind the grill there is a spot about a foot above where the door speakers are, for tweeters. I had to do some mod's to make them work. I used a 2 inch hole saw to open the holes up and then ground some flats on the tweeter enclosure. They popped in very snug, I didn't even need to try and mess with getting the plastic nuts behind them.It looks like a factory install. I popped open the armrests so I could just lay the crossovers inside of them. The grill went back on fine. It's right up against the tweeter grills which is a good thing. Just a good snug fit all the way around. They sound fantastic. The thing I like about these is the range, 1khz to22khz. I'm hearing sounds I haven't heard before. The Alpine 517's have a range of 22 khz to 73hz, and the Kicker's in the back are 21 khz to 45hz. These tweeters were the missing piece to the puzzle. Sweet!

Beautiful
Replaced the OEM garbage in my 2013 Taurus. These went into the stock location in A-pillars to complement the already long ago replaced by R-Types mains all around. Sound is 1) noticeably sharper, 2) the sound stage was moved up by a ~foot and 3) I can actually hear them now. Money well spent.

Tweeters
I ordered this for my car but it did not fit so I returned it yesterday. It came from California, so it should be arriving shortly.

Awesomeaudio charges fees to return, just a warning to you
I haven't installed the speakers. They seem great. Just wanted to caution against ordering from awesome audio if you get them. I didn't notice it anywhere when I was looking, apparently you have to email them to find out, but they make ya foot the return postage(That's fine) but also charge a large restocking fee. Just a heads up for those who order, I need to remember to order prime to avoid the fees when things don't work out.

great tweets
I have to say the alpine 110 tweets are very good. they made a huge difference in the sound of my stock system. I do have an amp and they seem to fit in very well. they are very detailed. you don't have to run the treble way up to get high end now, my unit is actually set flat with one notch boost on bass and treble. and I still get very detailed highs. the music was there the hole time it just was reproduced by inferior stock speakers, alpine has always had a good rep. this is my first alpine purchase. I see why they have a good rep. they make good stuff. very happy with purchase.

disappointing alpine!
I don't know if its me but these things suck they can't handle my systems power which about 900 watts and thats not even that strong. They shrill and shriek at 50 percent volume how disappointing will be selling on Craigslist. But the seller was great fast shipping and brand new in box!

One thing Ford lacks is a good sound system in their cars
I have a 2013 Ford Taurus SEL with the Piece Of Sh*t Ford factory speakers. One thing Ford lacks is a good sound system in their cars. Actually, they blow at it. I installed these speakers in the columns. Absolutely amazing how these speakers sound. I knew anything would be a major improvement but never expected this kind of quality. I've always been a Kenwood fan and have never been disappointed in anything I've bought from them but these speakers ROCK! Alpine's got the highs down! I highly recommend buying them.

Great Highs
Placed these in my son's 2007 mitsubishi raider. He has a 10" Kicker single sub and Alpine 6 1/2s in the doors. His head unit is an Alpine UTE-73BT with the Alpine KTP-445A Amplifier. I noticed he really needed highs more at the head level in the vehicle to make his system really come to life. And these Alpines deliverd what was needed. Highly recomend for the price.
