I give credit where credit is due, and this simple mat deserves credit. Sitting on a northern exposure unprotected porch for the last four plus years, this humble mat has taken a beating from rain, snow, ice, salt to melt said snow and ice, feet, dirt, mud, and heat and stood, well actually laid the test of time. It has not faded; it has not frayed; it has not molded or rotted; it has not complained about being stepped on, walked over, or overlooked. It has stayed where I have placed it. It continues to do its job without issue. I applaud this simple mat, and I happily recommend it.

Recycled, Tough & Effective would be the adjatives to describe this indistructible mat. I do remember seeing these for years growing up. It's a shame that they are not as popular today. I think they have a utilitarian look to them and function. I personally like the look of the parallel mat over the herringbone but that's just personal taste. The dirt is supposed to fall in the gaps. If a tire can survive 40 thousand miles with a 2 ton vehicle, then it should be able to survive as a stationary object. These are priced well. My wife would only allow these on the back door, but I think many will use them on their entrance ways, especially during the winter months. I highly recommend these because you can see the workmanship is very high quality. Who says American manufacturing is dead, this product is a testament to the resilience or brilliant product design and engineering.Highly recommend

Nice and heavy--just want I wanted.Problem: Beach house--everyone tracks sand into the house.This mat is hefty. Coarse enough to grab the sand, but soft enough to use with bare feet.Not the most beautiful, but I don't care--it is in my mud room and serves exactly what I wanted.The fact that it took a 1/2 tire out of a landfill is an ecological plus for me too.

These have been around for a very long time and I was so pleased to find them for sale here on Amazon! I am 64 years old and remember these at every door stoop including our own when I was a little kid growing up in Chicago...a little nostalgic when I found these here and just HAD to have one. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the quality I remember is still intact today! These are heavy, thick, and will probably last forever! I was so pleased to also discover that these are still made in the Ohio, USA another reason for my purchase...to support American workers! I will be purchasing others in several sizes for different areas of my home!

I had one of these, never knowing who manufactured it, at my house up North with snowy-icy winters. I retired and brought it South, where it lasted more decades before finally starting to fall apart. I found this identical product on Amazon for a good price. The sizes didn't match what I had, but a bigger size worked in my space, so if exact size is critical you might need to shop several brands. I do like that this is obviously recycled material. It's best in areas where people might need to scrape off mud or snow or muck, as it works great and easily cleans itself in rain or by hosing. I suspect this one will outlast me. I highly recommend this mat.

Everything I remembered from the one on our porch as a child. Does its job. Anything your wiping off falls through the crevices and can be swept up later. Though I've only had it a month, it's well constructed and I expect it to hold up for decades just as the one from my childhood did. PLUS it's made in the USA of recycled materials. Tired of buying mars that rot from retaining moisture outside or that holds the dirt. This is a classic well worth having. Recommend highly.

I had a similar mat in the past and it lasted for many years. It is made well and I expect this one to last for many years as well. I use mine basically outdoors where it covers a drain. It keeps leaves from blocking the drain when a hard rain might cause flooding if the drain is plugged by leaves. I bought 2 of these mats, and the second one is also outdoors at the foot of stairs leading up to a porch. Both mats are good for cleaning debris off our shoes.

Have two of these at my cabin and they're great. Super heavy and durable. I've had one for about four years and it still is doing a great job. Highly recommended for tough situations like dirt and sand and snow at a cabin!
