Good, but not for everyone
Mandrotto has always been my go-to for photography and videography. I have a lot of camera accessories as well as tripods and they have never failed me when out on the field. They are adorable, reliable, and most of the time worth every penny. Unless it is a high production set, I use Manfrotto for nearly all of my productions, travel, or just for fun. With that being said, I have purchased their monopod (MROA5) and used it quiet a bit. I love it for photos. Easy to travel with and take places. I purchased this Base once before as a gift for my friend. He enjoyed it and brought it nearly everywhere with him. I was never a fan of having the base attached, so I never wanted one. Eventually, I thought, why not add one onto my monopod as well? So I did. Keep in mind my camera is a Sony a7iii.Right off the bat I can tell you that the base is sturdy, nothing less of durable and made of high-quality. Expect nothing less. Attaching the pod seems easy until I went to go put it on my mono pod. It just didn’t fit! Even though the instructions said it fits my mono pod (A5) made by Manfrotto, it didn’t fit! It never screwed on properly. But when I did get it on after tightening super tight I noticed that once you are using it you cannot walk away from your camera, not even for a second! Even with my mirrorless camera it started to lean left and right. Meaning, I can never walk away because once the wind blows this thing is going to knock my camera to the ground. That was the biggest negative about this base, is that even though it has legs you cannot leave it unoccupied or else your camera is going to it the ground. I believe this bass is for more video than photography. Once you are done shooting, you have to keep hold of your camera or pick it up and take it with you to the next location. Never leave it alone! Even if you think it is safe. I learned that if you angle of the legs a certain way it helps the balance a lot. I also noticed if you do not raise the mono pod to its full height it is more sturdy.A pro tip for using this base on your monopod is when using it to make sure that one of the legs are pointing left and the other one is pointing right and in the center is your lens. That will give it the best balance possible, but again it is not meant to be left alone. With that being said I returned the base. Especially because it just did not fit my pod nicely. I am on sure if the screw was messed up or something was missing. But I do not believe that it should take that much strength to go on and off. After watching videos online it seems like people did not have an issue with unscrewing it and screwing it on with their pod.ALL IN ALL- At the end of the day I am happy to use my monopod without the base. I recommend this base for people who do weddings or other events that require you to shoot videos and photos on the move. It is great for that. It is not meant for long exposure shots, taking portraits, nature (no where for it to rest), street photography and other slow paced photography.

Doesn't holds camera weight
My intention to buy this Fluid base was to make my camera (5D mark4) steady or to hold my camera at one position but this really didn't help me out with any or the thing so if you are buying to stabilize your camera with the help of this base then I wouldn't recommend to buy this product.
