Actual item not as pictured
The picture and what was actually received are NOT the same. It is especially obvious with the knights and crown on the kings. They do seem to be some sort of low quality soft wood so I guess that part is accurate. I wasn’t expecting much due to them being inexpensive. However I did expect them to, at a minimum, be like what was pictured. I already started the return process for them. Buyer beware.

Missing pieces
I would have given a 0☆ but there isn't one. I had 6 pieces missing. I don't want to go through the trouble of sending back. I would just like to have the pieces. 2 dark horses. 2 light checkers and 2 dark checkers.

Poor Quality
The chess pieces arrived chipped (king and queen pueces missing the back halves of the crowns that broke off) and the checkers pieces were all stuck together (had to be pried apart and once apart were dull and unevenly finished). There is obviously no quality control.

Super slippery
Don't bother MAKING STACKABLE kings in checkers. They just slide off.

I bought two sets
I had some scrap wood and decided to make a checkers / chess board. Since my skills aren't the best I looked for chess / checkers pieces since I didn't want to make them. Found these on Amazon and bought them. No complaints about them, good looking, good size, inexpensive and next day delivery. As a matter of fact I made a second board and ordered a second chess / checkers set.
