Worked great.
I've been using the small Kreg starter jig kit for a couple years with good success, but it was time to step it up a notch while making many pocket holes in a project. This tool fit the bill. Setup is easy and the holes come out very clean compared the the Kreg. I believe that's because the Kreg has a thin strip of rubber on the bottom. Just my opinion. I'm not knocking the Kreg. It has it's place, but this tool produces a cleaner look. The manufacturing is very nice. The clamp is well made and operates smoothly, providing a strong clamp. The removeable vacuum adapter is absolutely fantastic. With it attached to a shop vac, I drilled several holes and did not leave one speck of sawdust on my workbench, awesome. If you are a dust hater like me, you will appreciate this feature. Note: when setting the drill depth collar, be sure to set it to the absolute tip of the small drill portion. I initially set it the the larger diameter and put a drill point into the jig base, my bad. I do have two complaints though. 1. The scale ise difficult to read. The arrow to line up to the board thickness scale is painted white on a grey surface. 2. the base thickness is .410". when supporting the far end of a long board it's difficult to find a matching thickness in my scrap pile. I'll end up running a small board thru the planer to get one to .410" and try not to misplace it.

Good Product...Great Company
I gave this overall 5 stars because i don't want people to overlook it. The price is great and the company has amazing customer service. The build is good and there is a lot of good things going on here as well as lots of additional accessories etc. You cant beat the price for what you get. Customer service is some of the best I have seen on amazon and that is saying something, if I could rate that part higher I would. I had a small issue with the drill guide in the jig, they took care of the issue immediately and then some. I also made some suggestions to improve the product which they immediately implemented. Just reach out to them directly if you have an issue first though. They provide an email with the product. PROS: Aluminum and steel materials are great, they sink heat away when drilling. Clamping system works well and holds material firm Measurements are etched into steel so they will not wear off. Guides are steel not aluminum so they should last for a long time Many accessories including a secondary guide for drilling thick stock as well as extra bit and collars Customer service was A+++ This company really wants to help CONS: Tolerance issues in steel drill guides and collars, they get stuck on bits, bits need to be sanded down some to prevent stickage and drill out guides. This part is geared for HOWOD: This is a great jig barring the the tolerance issues on the steel drill guides. but I noticed a few things that could really make it shine. 1: I am a knife maker, and as someone who works with steel, I happen to know that it has a tendency to shrink when heated and hardened. I can only assume the guides are drilled out before the product is hardened, however if you could go though it one more time after hardening that would fix the tolerance issues. Then I would have no complaints what so ever and this would be an amazing product. 2: if you could etch another ruler onto the base that starts from 0 that would allow a person to know exactly how thick the stock they are drilling is so they could set the guide properly without needing another ruler to measure for depth. 3: While the existing setup with the grub screws to hold the steel guides is a cool idea, I think it could be improved with the addition of a small dimple on the side of the steel guides for the grub screw to grab so that the guide could not turn in the jig. Since the jig is aluminum it would be quite possible to over tighten the grub screws and strip out the jig, but if you had a dimple for the screw to tighten into it would not require much tightening power to really hold the guide in place. If you ever choose to make these changes and would send me one to check out I would be happy to do a video review and show the improvements etc.

Can’t beat it
As someone who enjoys woodworking as a hobby, I'm always on the lookout for quality tools that won't break the bank. That's why I was thrilled to discover the HOWOD Pocket Hole Jig Kit. Not only is it significantly less expensive than some of the bigger name brands out there, but it works just as well, if not better! The HOWOD Pocket Hole Jig Kit comes with everything I need to create perfect pocket holes quickly and easily. The included drill bit is high-quality and stays sharp even after multiple uses. The jig itself is made of durable materials and has adjustable settings to accommodate a variety of board thicknesses. But what I appreciate most about this pocket hole jig kit is its ease of use. Even as a beginner woodworker, I found it incredibly simple to set up and use. The included instructions are clear and easy to follow, and the kit comes with all the necessary accessories for a seamless experience. Overall, I highly recommend the HOWOD Pocket Hole Jig Kit to anyone looking for a quality tool at an affordable price. It's a game-changer for any woodworking project, and the fact that it's less expensive than the bigger name brands is just icing on the cake.

Solid product but poor quality drill bits!
Affordable price and the pocket hole setup is solid metal, strong and does not flex or bend. I mounted it it to a solid wood board and it works well. A small issue it reading the measurements printed on the metal parts, it is not easy without clear lighting, not a big deal though. Negative issue, the reason I gave four stars for this product, is due to the poor quality of the included drill bits. They are dull and won't cut cleanly or effeciantly. I used an old Kreg pocket hole drill bit instead. As in other comments, the drill bits get "hung up" when drilling holes inside the guides. I Recommend you buy a Kreg Drill Bit if you purchase this machine.

MUCH better than competitor
This worked so so well!!! I’m in the process of building 12 drawers (for the first time) so have watched a million and one YouTube videos while learning how to build custom storage in our home. And of course, many of the videos and DIY influencers I watched were sponsored by Kreg so I originally bought their pocket hole jig and used it for a while. However, it was so frustrating and difficult to use, so I gave up and decided my desperation for a better pocket hole jig was worth spending the additional money on a second one. And it was beyond worth it. I cannot emphasize enough how much easier this was to use and how much better the quality of the actual pocket holes are. The jig is well made, easy and accurate to use, and the vacuum attachment was just chef’s kiss. I cannot recommend this enough and hopefully in writing this review I can save you from wasting your money on one of the other pocket hole jigs!

Quality Craftsmanship
This is the first look after receiving the item. The outer packaging is well built, Hard shaking of the package I could barely hear movement inside. Upon cutting the two clear round security tape and opening the cardboard outer container, I see that good black hard shipping foam sheet. Removal of sheet, the view is just like you see with the pictures. Everything is placed in nice compartments using the that same black foam. One could use the shipping box for storage when not used. The unit itself is ALL metal. Nice feel with brass thumb screws (shipped in plastic zip lock bag). Mounting screws are provided for mounting to a table, or as I plan to a 18 X 34 X 3/4 inch board. The drill bits are titanium gold plated. On the frame is an index for adjusting the stop depth using one of the collars. The cam lock is very positive. Additionally, there is ample tooling as well as sample screws and wood plugs. The instructions are easy to follow. Even with out referring to the instructions provided you could almost use it. However, READ the instructions! I am very impressed how well this unit is built. And I'm excited to set this unit up and start using it. If you don't see any further updates, means I'm having way too much fun and satisfied. The price is well worth it. One last note: I am going to this unit to my friends who have the ones which have plastic parts.

Sleek, easy to use and great quality
This is such a better product than the widely touted (by sponsored you tubers) Kreg product for about the same amount as their basic pro model. Quality materials, great instructions and easy to understand on how to make precision changes. I had been frustrated with the lack of info on how to do any sort of precision adjustments with Kreg - so much easier here. I’m a novice, but I would imagine pros would want the same quality and flexibility. Wish I had purchased the combo package that included the mounting board. Would have loved having a place to keep up with all the parts and to mount there vs current workspace. Wish I had discovered this a year ago, would have made for a lot less frustration and a better understanding of pocket holes.

Works Very Well
I've never used pocket holes in any of my projects, but I've always wanted to try it. I decided to build some cabinets that are attached the wall and (cement) ceiling so I wanted to ensure it had maximum strength at all joints, where possible. This kit is well made, is heavy duty, comes with quality accessories, and it appears like it is made by and for professionals. I've done about 20 pocket holes so far in materials from 11/16" to 1 5/8" thickness. Once I read the instructions to understand how to use the kit, I had no problem doing what I needed to do. Not a great picture but this shows two different applications of the kit. There are ceiling mounted 11/16" x 4" boards attached together at an intersection with pocket holes and glue. Then there is a verticle 2x2" board attached with glue and pocket holes to the ceiling board. You will need different length pocket hole screws for different material thicknesses.
