Great Buy For Powerful Pumps
OK so I bought these when I upgraded from my 75 to 125. Are used to pointed upfront to break the surface tension and two down below to get the debris off the substrate. It creates quite current in the tank which I thought would be too much for these guys at first but they are fine it also did get all the debris off the tank which is very nice as you can see from my pictures I keep the tank pretty clean and do not like debris at all so this is better environment for them and it is better for my family and friends to look at. This was a great deal on these fans and I would highly recommend them when we caveat is I would say that in order to purchase a four pack please have at least 125 gallon aquarium or use in multiple smaller aquariums as these are very powerful pumps.

Not bad for the price
These units definitely move water. The only problem I've had is floating plants seem to easily get sucked into the impellers and then you have to disassemble to clear everything out. Artificial plants as well get sucked in to the slots on the cover, So far it hasn't been a problem just an annoyance for my OCD. But I have these in my 125 gallon cichlid tank multiple in my 180 gallon one in my 100 gallon another in my 120 gallon acrylic tank they keep The water moving and the substrate pretty clean once you get them adjusted properly. For the price compared to some of the other way of makers I think it's a pretty good deal and I would buy again. I have not had any failures with the hate that I have currently running other than picking out plants off of the impeller blade shaft. Save a good chunk of money, it's worth the minor inconvenience.

Great Value-Strong Pump
These little things are amazing - so powerful. I thought I was going to need at lease two of these to circulate my tank properly but one was plenty strong and they (I started with two of four in a brand new tank) stick to the wall easily and firmly. When removing one I had to really work at the suction cup to get it to release which shows how firmly it attached. If I ever need to purchase submersible circulation pumps again I will be looking for this brand. Highly recommend if your tank is 40+ gallons.

Value for your dollar
Great deal. Strong pumps great for breaking up surface tension as well as circulating the tank I have two set up in a 75 gallon does a great job.

Easy to place & move around
Physically a bit larger than I had anticipated. Easy to place & move around, but the suction to the glass is very sturdy. The flow is very strong, which is a bit much for my planted tank but would be great in a marine aquarium. I have it aimed at the back glass of one tank and some driftwood in another, both of which are previously very prone to growing algae. The flow is strong enough to prevent new algae formation.

Not worth it
I picked these for a 54 gallon tank set up. It was about 6 months before I got around to getting it going, and initially, I was happy with the pumps, which were connected to a 2 channel wavemaker (two pumps per channel). About 10 days in, one pump failed and made an awful grinding noise. I unplugged that pump, and let the other 3 go. Soon, another pump would grind for several seconds after it was started by the wavermaker. Two weeks ago, I lost a third pump to the grinding. Now I am down to one functional pump. It was a great thought, but I would not recommend these pumps for a wavemaker. Maybe, they would be OK for constant flow.

persistent design flaw
Well I bought pumps from this company before, and they all suffer from one flaw. The inside front cover of the pump is designed that when impeller strikes it on every startup, it makes it spin in the correct direction. Now the last pump I bought from SunSun, were a dual pump system, that started running backwards too. The reason for this is that the plastic inside the cover breaks, and impeller does what wants then, since it's no longer being directed on rotation. I bought these pumps in the hopes company had corrected this problem, but no they have not.If it wasn't for Amazon accepting this return. I would be SOL.They work great and are powerful, and the price can't be beat, if it wasn't for this design flaw.
