Good to know prior buying
I recently purchased this toasted sesame oil, and it has quickly become a staple in my kitchen! The aroma is rich and nutty, and it adds an incredible depth of flavor to everything from stir-fries to salads. One of my favorite ways to use it is for a super quick dressing: just mix 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil, 2 tablespoons soy sauce, 1 teaspoon rice vinegar, 1 teaspoon honey, and a pinch of chili flakes—and voilà! You have a delicious, restaurant-quality dressing in under a minute. It’s versatile, flavorful, and a little goes a long way. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to elevate everyday meals without fuss! The smell and flavor is very different from olive oil, so it gives you e perception of completely different dressing if you substitute your regular olive oil with this one sometimes. Toasted sesame oil is considered healthy for several reasons, especially when used in moderation as a flavor enhancer rather than a cooking staple: 1. Rich in Healthy Fats: • It contains mostly unsaturated fats, particularly polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats, which are good for heart health. • These fats can help lower bad cholesterol (LDL) and support healthy cholesterol levels. 2. Packed with Antioxidants: • Sesame oil contains sesamol and sesamin, natural antioxidants that help protect cells from damage caused by free radicals. • Antioxidants may reduce inflammation and support overall health. 3. Supports Heart Health: • Studies suggest sesame oil may improve blood pressure and arterial function, thanks to its healthy fat profile and antioxidant content. 4. Contains Vitamins and Minerals: • Small amounts of vitamin E, vitamin K, and minerals like calcium, magnesium, and zinc are present, contributing to overall nutrition. 5. May Help Control Blood Sugar: • Some research indicates sesame oil can help regulate blood sugar levels and improve insulin sensitivity when incorporated into a balanced diet. 6. Lightly Processed (if toasted): • Toasted sesame oil is usually minimally processed, so it retains more nutrients and antioxidants compared to heavily refined oils.

Top quality, sesame oil
I’m picky about what I cook with as a retired chef and this sesame oil is some of the best you can buy the second you opened up you can smell the quality. It’s smooth you’re not gonna find any debris in it. It’s definitely top quality depending on how much you cook with it is containers are about the right size but seriously the quality and the flavor is outstanding.

Rich peanut flavor that works perfectly on salads
I picked up this roasted peanut oil mainly for an Asian style kale salad we make at home, and it has been great for that. The flavor is warm and nutty without being heavy, and it mixes really well with rice vinegar, soy sauce, or anything with a little sweetness. A small amount goes a long way, so the bottle lasts longer than I expected. The texture is smooth and the smell is exactly what you want from a roasted peanut oil. It adds depth without taking over the entire dish. I have also tried it in a quick stir fry and it handled medium to higher heat without burning. There is nothing complicated about it. It is a clean tasting oil with a strong enough peanut note to make a simple salad dressing taste better. Bottom line: Excellent roasted peanut flavor and perfect for salads, dressings, and quick cooking. It has become a regular pantry item for us.

So delicious!
This review is for the toasted sesame oil. This is the best flavored oil I've eaten. My two favorites just out of the bottle: drizzling on salad with a touch of vinegar and cracked pepper. Drizzled on steamed edamame in shells. Two favorites cooked: combined with some canola and used to fry up tofu. And mixed in when making granola. It adds a nice layer of nuttiness to whatever I'm making. Quality has been fantastic. I keep it in the refrigerator after I open it. Until I get to the last little bit, then I leave it out to make it easier to pour out the last of it. I'm not sure what the smoke point is by itself, as I always use it with canola or peanut if I'm cooking with it. When I make the tofu, I use medium heat and it's not an issue since I'm going for golden brown.

Made a Mess in the Kitchen
I got this Toasted Sesame Oil because I like both toast and sesame seeds. A poured it liberally on some bread and then jammed it in the toaster and darn near burned down the house! Smoke filled the kitchen and I’m pretty sure that I ruined the toaster. The toast was pretty tasty, but next time I make it, I’ll probably do it over a campfire and outside.

Product: SENSATIONAL AND WORTH EVERY PENNY! Packaging .... not quite as much ...
I use peanut oil to cook Chinese-style food. I would NOT call myself a true Chinese cook. I always prefer to cook in peanut oil. I have learned that ROASTED peanut oil is superior. And a peanut oil that SMELLS like peanuts is the best. La Tourangelle Roasted Peanut Oil is DELICIOUS and worth every penny, and buying it in this container takes a pricy base product and makes it economical. Literally the ONLY problem with this is that the packaging kinda sucks. When I got this box - having used the tins before - I opened the little cardboard opening and ... no spout. Rummaged all around carefully so as not to break the plastic. No spout. Finally I had to open up the box at the top and pull the whole damn thing out and there it was: at completely the WRONG side of the box. Useless. And heavy as heck. I managed to get the bag back into the box facing the right way ... and then pulled the spout out of the opening. Only it was utterly twisted and could not be used!! I trued to turn it gently, but nope. So I came here and read the visual instructions and I was right how it SHOULD work ... so I grabbed the black part of the spout took a breath and TWISTED HARDER. CAREFULLY. And it turned! I then wrangled it back in neatly and closed the cardboard, then pulling off the part of the red bit MEANT to be pulled off, pressed the THREE red bits to be pressed and a nice smooth stream of oil came out! Yumm!. But the box is now a mess and you HAVE to keep it in the box to use it. GRRRRR. So BE AWARE if you run into an absentee spout problem of what to do. The BEST oil; the WORST box!!!

Restaurant-level flavor in one bottle
I’ve tried a lot of sesame oils over the years, and most of them either taste flat or go rancid way too quickly. This one stands out the moment you open the bottle. The aroma hits first, and it’s the exact toasted, nutty scent you get in a good Japanese or Korean restaurant. Not artificial, not muted, just clean and bold. A little goes a long way. Half a teaspoon in a stir-fry adds more depth than some oils do at a full tablespoon. I’ve used it on everything from ramen bowls to cold sesame noodles to steamed veggies, and it consistently boosts the flavor without overpowering everything else. A few standout points that make this worth it: 1. The flavor is rich and balanced. It has that roasted depth without tasting burnt. 2. It finishes dishes beautifully. Drizzle at the end, and your food instantly tastes more complex. 3. It holds up during cooking. You don’t have to treat it like it’s fragile. 4. Zero weird aftertaste. Some brands have a metallic or bitter note. This one doesn’t. 5. The bottle size is perfect for freshness. You use it up before it fades. If you’ve only ever had grocery store sesame oil, this is one of those upgrades you don’t realize you needed until you taste it. It makes homemade food feel more like takeout in the best way. I’ll definitely repurchase. This is now a staple in my kitchen.

Great Quality Sesame Oil
This is a great quality sesame oil, our family has been buying it for years. We use it mostly as a finishing oil and rarely cook with it as it smokes easily. It's yummy on so many things and makes Korean dishes taste authentic. I don't know about organic ingredients, but it is NON GMO and the appearance of the oil looks fresh. High quality and great flavor. Highly recommend!
