Good sights for P238
bought for Sig P238. Easy to put in as long as you take you time and have good punches. Be really careful with the little spring under the rear sight. I did as others said and put the slide in a plastic bag so when it sprung out I didn't lose it. Unfortunately when I install the new back sight I bunged up the tiny spring.Be careful or take it to a gunsmith. If you do mess the spring up they are near impossible to get and are expensive. I was able to find some look alikes on Amazon cheap though that work.

Great sights...but don't think about installing them yourself!
First, I will start by saying that the sights themselves are excellent. They are exactly what I was looking for and the price was even better. As for the installation. I have a full size Springfield XD 9mm. I had previously removed the rear sight and had a LaserLyte rear sight laser in place (which was total garbage), so removing the rear and replacing it with this new fiber optic was fairly easy (this time). Removing the factory sights is nothing but a pain in the neck. There really is no such thing as "removing" them. I had to cut them in half with a Dremel with a steel cutter bit and then they fell right out. Without having to purchase a $150 sight remover for the XD, this is the easiest way. I will caution you, be very slow and careful (!!!!!!) when doing this, because one slip up could ruin you slide! As long as you take your time, it is really very easy.As for placing the new sights in... That is a whole different story. I work at a gun store and we install sights on Kimber's, Sig's, S&W's, etc.. all the time. Installing a XD sight... we will not touch them. I called our on-call gunsmith and he won't do them either. They are very difficult to place and you have to make sure you align it correctly as they tend to roll or else you will ruin the sight, or worse, your slide. I got the rear one installed in about 10 minutes, but like I said, I had already had done the hard part about a year ago. The front one I got about 1/4 of the way in place and just could not get it to go anymore. So I swallowed my pride and called Springfield customer service. Being a FFL holder and Springfield dealer, they kindly took my slide and installed for free. For the average customer, they said it would be about $30 or so. I had it back with 12 days.Like I said, at the gun shop, we won't even touch XD sights. From now on, I will refer them (and I advise you all to do the same) to call Springfield. They are very helpful and did the job without any sort of hassle or trying to sell me their fiber optic sights (which are about $80). Great service.Again, the sights themselves are a 5 out of 5 stars. I love them and I really think I made a great choice getting these fiber optic sights. Tru-Glo very rarely lets me down and I have to say they did a great job with these. I can't stress enough though, that it is just easier to call Springfield and let them do it.Hope this helps!

Great Sight - Reasonable Price
I recently purchased the True Glow Fiberoptic Handgun Sight for my Smith & Wesson M&P Shield, and I couldn't be happier with the upgrade. The front red sight is incredibly easy to pick up quickly, thanks to the contrasting green rear sights. This has significantly improved my accuracy over the stock sights that came with my gun.Aesthetically, they look fantastic on my firearm. However, I did encounter some difficulty when trying to swap out the stock sights myself, even after watching a YouTube tutorial. Despite using a good bench vise, I couldn't remove the stock sights without risking damage to my gun. Eventually, I decided to take it to a gunsmith who installed them for $60. Even with this additional cost, I still feel that this upgrade was reasonably priced and well worth it.It's important to note that these sights are not "night sights" as they require some ambient light to function properly. This might be a deal-breaker for some, but for my needs, they work perfectly.

Bright, strong, accurate, easy to install with the correct tools.. one minor nitpick.
These are nice, bright steel sights and Amazon has the best price I could find . I only wish they had side-cutouts to let in more light when the light source is not overhead. In usual conditions, these are VERY bright.I had already replaced the stock sights on a Glock 43 with these and decided to buy the larger version for my full sized Glocks.I caution that you will need a Glock front sight tool and a rear sight pusher to install these. The VISM rear sight pusher and a magnetic front sight tool, available on Amazon.com, will likely cost as much or less than a gunsmith and you can use them over and over. You will also need some blue or purple LocTite.Disassemble a firearm after clearing it, remove the barrel and the recoil spring. Using the front sight tool remove flat hex screw holding the old front sight in place. With the slide upside down and suspended it over roll of masking tape use a small punch and gently tap out the old front sight.Using the small hex-key supplied in the kit, clean out any old Loctite from the oval cut out in the front slide. Place the new front sight into the oval cutout. If necessary, gently tap it firmly into place... ( I used the back of a small wooden screwdriver.) in my experience, this front sight fits very snugly and is perfectly parallel, without any wiggle.Place the hex nut into the magnetic driver. Do not apply Loctite on it at this time. Drive screw home to see if it fits snugly. Is it does remove the screw and apply Loctite to the threads and reinsert it. If it is too long, use the shorter Gen 4 screw that is supplied in the kit.Wipe off any excess Loctite with a dry Q-tip. Next go over the site with a Q-tip soaked in bore solvent. Your front sight is now installed. For the rear sight, please refer to the numerous YouTube videos on the use of your own particular rear sight pusher.Do not forget to completely remove the Allen screw from the rear sight before installation. Once the rear sight is exactly where you want it, apply Loctite to the Allen screw and insert it using the hex key into its hole. Using a Q-tip wipe up any excess LocTite. Ask before use a dry Q-tip first and then one soaked a little bore solvent second.
