I'm not the best turkey hunter and I'm pretty bad at calls. I always screw up at least one note if I'm using a diaphragm call or a slate. I've been OK at box calls since it's just one basic motion that's easy to get the hang of, but I felt like no matter how good I called my old box call just wasn't natural enough. I'll blame half of that on the call and half on me. So I got online and started browsing forums, looking up reviews, etc. I didn't want to cheap out on a call but I didn't want to spend a ton of money either, I wanted the best value that would get me a nice sounding call that was within my difficulty level and I spent way too much time on research. Given all that, this call is perfect. The ridge makes it so the call doesn't travel too far past the box, keeping it from screwing up the sound. I really like that ridge. Clucks are easy, yelps are easy, and the sound is loud and natural and amazing. I used it last year and was impressed despite getting it too late in the season to make a difference, but yesterday I was practicing with it outside at like 2PM since turkey season is this weekend and I managed to call in a massive tom just playing around with the call. This call is a game changer for me. If the turkeys are in a gobbling mood, they gobble at this call every time. This is the first year where I'm going into turkey season expecting to get something, which is new for me. It's beautiful too, it's one of those items that I'm proud to own.

I've been using this call for many years and I'm still happy with it. It can do it all (yelp, purr, cut, and cluck) and has a very rich tone with a great rollover (high to low tone) that sounds like a hen. I killed my first tom using this call many years ago. I used it a week ago to call in two toms for a couple of guys I was helping and to call in my tom the next day. The quality is high and the price is right. I buy these calls as gifts for new turkey hunters because they work. I just bought one for one of the guys I called for last week because he was so impressed with it.

Shot two big Toms first day using this call. Got them to close the gap to 10 yards with soft purring on this call. 10/10 would recommend

This was my first year turkey hunting and I really didn't know what I was doing. I was able to figure out how to use this very quickly, easily imitating the real hens. I called in a big tom, almost like I knew what I was doing. He was delicious. We slow-cooked the leg meat and turned it into turkey tacos, and cut the breast meat into strips which we breaded and fried. Just typing that makes me want to go out and get another one! Yummmm :P

This call is legit. I have not been able to call in a turkey using mouth calls so I tried this one and I got Toms coming at me. The sounds that come out of the box are pure and and very effective. It’s super easy to use and well worth the price I paid.
