Q: Could someone please post a pic of the bottom of this unit? i'd like to see the hdd and memory bays. ease of upgrade?

I forgot to take a pic when I had it open. It is very difficult to open this computer to get to the RAM slots and hard drive. There are 2 RAM slots, one of which is populated with a 4 GB module and one that is free. Remove the bottom cover with the instructions below.You have to remove 12 screws on the bottom. 8 exposed, 2 under the battery, and 2 under the rear rubber pads that you have to peel up. The rubber pads are near the battery compartment and display hinge. All of the screws are the same size.After you unscrew the 12 screws, remove the DVD drive. Then pry the bottom from the rest of the computer. You will need to use a plastic pry tool. If you use a small metal screw driver, you will mar the plastic case. Start at the front or side and pry apart just the front and the sides. Once you have the front and sides apart, pull the bottom off like opening a door where the back is the hinge. Do not try to pry apart the back. Just pry apart the front and sides and swing the bottom cover off like the back is a hinge.

Q: does this come with accident protection or any sort of warranty?

No I didn't see anything of that sort but you can send it back within 15 days upon arrival so my advice will be to use it and do whatever u need to do within that time

Q: Does this laptop come pre-loaded with any software, windows, etc?

Yes, it’s already has windows 10 installed. There’s a trial for programs launch as word, PowerPoint, excel.
