it’s just really good
Edit— it’s super effective, and it turns out that I needed to clean the filter from stuff I couldn’t see. I have started taking a soft, dry toothbrush to the screen and brushing away from center. It’s now getting used by three curlies probably every other day. Curls are much smoother and less frizzy, and the whole thing is dramatically faster. It’s a little heavier than I wish, but I assume that’s also the thing making it work so well. Old review, a product of ignorance: I’ve had it for almost a year and a half. It does not average one entire use a week. For about a month now, it shuts off after about five minutes of use on all low settings with the diffuser. I can make it come back on for about thirty seconds at a time by tripping and resetting the surge protector bit, but that gets old in a hurry. It costs too much to only get this little use.

Loving it!
I'll start off by saying that this dryer cut my drying time (by diffusing) by at least half! Normally, it would take anything from 40mins to 1hr but with this dryer, it took less than 25mins! That alone would make it worth it. There was minimal frizz and great definition. The first two pictures were taken right after I dried my hair and the last one (wearing gray), was taken later in the evening. I had gone out for a walk and the hair got a little windblown but it still maintained definition. Of course, hair products are part of the overall effect and for this, I used LUS Curly products. As for the weight, it is a bit heavy but nothing that is not comparable to other hair dryers. I did not find it an issue at all. Absolutely loved the diffuser. It is big and I think that helped with the drying time and definition as well as volume. I have only used it once but I am freaking loving it! I will edit this if anything changes but so far, would definitely recommend it.

Superior Product and Value Compared to the Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer
We have been big Dyson customers for several years. I have purchased 5 Dyson upright vacuums and 4 Dyson cordless stick vacuums for my wife and I and our children. My wife also has a Dyson Airwrap and a Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer that she received as a gift in December of 2019. The Hair Dryer quit heating last week and only blows cold air. I called Dyson Customer Service, who told me that since our Hair Dryer was 5 months out of warranty that the only option was to by a new one. When I pushed, I was told that closest Dyson service center to Indianapolis is Columbus, Ohio, 162 miles away. I called the service center and the technician reaffirmed that the Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer is not repairable. A new Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer retails for $639 on Amazon and a refurbished one, with only a 90 day warranty for $439. Bottom line: We liked the Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer, but to have it only last 2 years and for Dyson to offer no options for repair or a discounted replacement is ridiculous for a $639 hair dryer. Dyson customer service is nothing like what it used to be. My solution after reading several reviews was to by the Shark HyperAIR Hair Blow Dryer for $169 on Amazon. We received it yesterday; it looks, handles, and operates as least as well as the Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer.

Started overheating after 4 months
I was excited to try the Shark Hairdyer as I was hoping to cut my drying time without spending the money on a Dyson. I never really felt it cut drying time or performed better than my previous, cheaper hair dryer, but it worked fine for several months. However this week it started overheating after about ten minutes of use. I have cleaned the filter with the provided brush and there is no dust or debris-- it just overheats. I used to dry on full heat and level two for power, but even after bumping down the heat it continues to malfunction. I am incredibly disappointed that a hair dryer at this price point would malfunction so quickly after purchase-- I have never had a blow dryer do that, even ones purchased for 1/5 of the cost. I would not recommend this product. Either splurge for the level up for save your money and stick with a cheaper option.

Save your money from Dyson and get yourself a Shark
I’m so glad there is another vacuum company that has invested their time and money into creating a hair dryer that competes with the Dyson. I really wanted to see what the hype was about with this product and deceived to give it a shot. I have 3A curls and I recently got a deva curl cut and so, I knew my next steps would be to invest in a diffuser. I swear this dryer makes my hair AMAZING. I’m so happy it’s lightweight because I can already see myself traveling with it everywhere I go. This dryer dries my hair in less then 15 minutes. Seriously. There’s no icky smell that comes out like the cheaper dryers and the attachments are great for whenever I want to do a blow out. The diffuser head is WAY better then the Dyson in my opinion- and the tongs are adjustable depending on if you have longer or shorter waves/curls.

Fantastic blow dryer but...
Im quite frugal but love good things. I wanted a Dyson but couldn't bear spending the money. This is a really great alternative! Only thing is that it is loud. Like really loud. You will not be able to hear anything around you while in use. Even on a low airflow setting. Don't let that stop you from getting this though!! It's pretty lightweight compared to other blow dryers, easy to hold, and dries my hair in under 5 mins. I have wavy long (mid back) hair. Ithe settings are easy to use with 3 settings for air flow, 3 settings for heat level. I love that the cold shot is in front and a natural place for your finger to rest. I do love that attachments. And since my hair is wavy have used the both! They are magnetic and easy to pop on and off without popping off during use!

My wife loves it but a bit too costly. Legit brand and very short drying time. Should come with more "gadgets" at least at this price tag

For the first time in my life I can blow dry my hair in less than 45 minutes and have virtually no frizz. My 3A hair has never looked better. I was a little hesitant to spend the money after a lifetime of $30 blow dryers but it has been worth every penny. The diffuser is massive and has adjustable fingers, the dryer automatically sets the heat and air based on the attachment and its not super heavy. The size of the diffuser would make it awkward to travel with but I'll just pack a bigger bag! Looking forward to purchasing the wave attachment.

Worked perfect when i furst bought it in 2022, well its 2024 and it constantly overheats and turns off .... Now takes forever to dry my curly hair . Should have just invested in a dyson , very frustrated cause I recommended this to so many people as an alternative to the dyson ...
