Gold BondMedicated Extra Strength Body Lotion, 14 oz., Moisturizes, Relieves & Soothes

I got this to relieve pool-chlorine-induced itchiness, and it works. I doesn’t cure the itchiness but masks it with a new sensation (“counterirritant”), cool menthol in this case. It’s also a decent moisturizer that vanishes into the skin quickly. I like the bracing cool sensation so much that I consider it the best part of my swim routine, including the swim lol.

I'm sole care giver to my mom, who can barely walk and has dementia. It's hard to take care of her because she really doesn't understand things clearly anymore. Her legs are very swollen and she scratches them, which draws blood. I have compression socks on her all day so when I take them off, her legs are dry and itchy. I tried at least 8 other lotions that promised derp moisture. This is the only one that delivers. It is very moisturizing plus since it's medicated, it actually calms the itching and soothes the cuts from scratching. I just ordered 2 more bottles tonight. For whatever your reason for getting this, I'm sure it's probably not as extreme as my situation and I'm sure it will work for you. It sucks right into the skin, not sticky or greasy. I've paid a lot more money for lotions that didn't work. This is a great value. I'd give it 10 stars if I could. This is a high quality lotion that delivers what they promise.

I refuse to call it anything else other than the best, menopausal cream I've used. I have gone through so many brands, you know, the expensive red and white tub, the cheaper purple sleep cream, etc., and this lotion takes care of it all and far exceeds all others. First of all, it has this "cooling" sensation that combats night sweats. I no longer have to sleep in 0 Kelvin degrees because this lotion allows me to sleep in more normal temperatures, and my old achy cat thanks Gold Bond for this. The cooling portion also calms the skin, so you don't have those feelings of a ghost pricking you with a needle every time you are just about to fall asleep. It provides sufficient moisture so your dry skin so you don't have to sleep with your bottle of lotion next to you to keep applying lotion all night because the lotion wears off or whatever the heck happens with other lotions. Last but not least, you don't feel like you rolled around in lard before putting your pj's on so they can stick to your skin all night and then you end up getting up at 2 and 3 am to take yet another shower because you feel like you worked under a car changing the oil and the oil pan just dumped all over you and your freshly showered body and you suddenly realize this at exactly 2:30 am and you can not fall asleep until you burn your skin with scalding hot water to get the grease off. Ladies, if this sounds like you- This cream is for you.

Lotion is really nice. Works to help dry skin very well. Texture is great. Not greasy at all. Light scent is really nice.

Good value, about 2 dollars less than local grocery store prices. I have been using this product for years and it is the only lotion that I have found that relieves itch instantly without being greasy. Feels great on arthritic fingers.

Nice soothing lotion for a friend. He loves it, we didn't see it at the store so we got it from Amazon. Packaged well, quick delivery. will order again , and NOT greasy.

Best part of my night time after shower routine. Wasn't sure how I would feel about the "cooling" effect, but as a person that hates the heat, the cooling has actually made it much easier for me to lay down, bundle up in my blanket, and fall asleep! Has also helped calm down the psoriasis patches on my arms. Wish I could also put it on my scalp.

I was diagnosed with mild eczema not long ago but have suffered from itchy skin (sans rash) for a long time. I've tried a variety of lotions and finally had settled on one that worked really well. Unfortunately, it was out of stock recently so I decided to look around. Always good to have a backup brand anyway. I saw this and since my regular body lotion is also Gold Bond, I decided to try it out. I did notice that it states it has menthol but didn't pay much attention to that until I put it on. I workout 5 days a week doing weightlifting, running, dancing, yoga, etc. I sometimes have to use products like Icy Hot for muscle aches. This has that same cooling sensation that products like that have. I was a bit taken aback at first, but as it continued, not only did the itchiness subside, but my body felt relaxed and my skin and muscles soothed. It also does a great job of moisturizing and hydrating. The scent is a bit like a muscle cream but very mild and not unpleasant. As stated previously, I have a regular body lotion so I don't have to use an anti-itch every day, but if I did, I think this would be my new favorite. Best part is that is was covered under my HRA. I will definitely be ordering this again!
