An easy way to make one or two cups instead of a whole pot. I heat the water in my coffee maker then pour over the grounds of this filter. It is easy to clean and takes up minimal cabinet space

Perfectly brewed coffee -- YAY!
Bought some excellent Bolivian coffee beans from Trader Joe's then discovered I just couldn't achieve the right strength with my pod coffee maker. So, I read a lot of reviews before choosing my first single "pour over" filter. The research was definitely worth it -- love this filter! I pour the hot water over the ground coffee slowly, in a circular motion, to be sure all the grounds are covered. It takes me about three mini-pours to fill a large mug. Yes it takes a minute or two, but it's a pleasant ritual and I know the resulting coffee is going to be just the way I like it! I also take a minute to properly clean the filter after each use with some mild dish soap and a sponge. And, once a week I run it through the dishwasher to be sure there is no oil build up in the extremely fine perforations. A little babying makes sense for something I want to own forever.

Doesn't work for too long
Stopped working after about two months of moderate use. The item doesn't strain the coffee well any longer. At first it worked well but over time has become clogged.

Handy little kitchen tool.
I have to admit I have never used this for brewing coffee. I use it for cooking purposes only. It is extremely functional and because it is stainless steel, I worry much less about using it for high temperatures. Also not a huge fan of paper filters. I use this to strain my bacon fat from the pan right into a mason jar. I also use it, when I am pan frying a large batch of chicken cutlets or whatever. As the breading falls off the chicken in the pan and starts to brown I strain the oil. The oil will easily last twice as long if not more. Love it, will be buying more as gifts.

UPDATE: I've used this filter for several months now. It is now almost completely clogged with grounds and will not drain. It seems that the finer bits of coffee grounds get stuck between the two layers and there is no way to clean them out. Too bad as it was great when it worked, but now it is trash--exactly what I wanted to avoid--having to use disposable filters. While the tiny holes are small, there will invariably be tinier bits of coffee grounds that clog them up.My initial review was: Excellent. Doesn't drip or leak--the coffee falls directly down through the opening. We can taste the difference in quality between this and paper filters. I'm using with a Hario and love it.

Makes a beautiful cup of coffee
Makes a beautiful cup of coffee. Or should I say covfefe. Anyway, after reading a complaint about this product not working after a certain time, I decided to wash and rinse it from the outside in. After rinsing leftover grounds out, I then use soap on the inside, but continue to rinse from outside of filter. Hopefully, it will last forever. By the way, I use a mix of grounds because I love espresso in my regular coffee, and add flavored coffee which tends to be medium grind. Happy camper here. Getting rid of my huge Keurig (which stopped working). Hello counter space!

Best coffee filter I have ever used
Best coffee filter I have ever used. Absolutely beats paper filters hands down as none are required. Very ingenious device, perforated on the outside and inside surfaces, as water is added, I surmise a vacuum is created and air is sucked in as the coffee drips into the container without any leaks on the outside surface, a brilliant design. The coffee is filtered much quicker than the paper filter devices and clean-up is easy as it only needs rinsing. I bought a second one just to make sure I had this product in case something happened to my original unit.

Just buy it!
This is the best thing I've bought in years. It is durable and just works as a fine strainer. I use it daily to filter cold brew coffee. I've used it to make single cup pour over hot coffee. Then there's are other times I need a fine strainer and out this comes. I never have trouble with it clogging and it's easy to clean.
